So with the Daniel Jones era effectively over.

How many of the remaining games do you think the Giants will win with a non-franchise QB at the controls?

I voted 0-2. They might get a bounce of DeVito vs the Bucs and maybe the Cows on Thanksgiving but that's about it

The Giants opted to bench their starting QB.  They should win a minimum of 2 or 3 games.  If they don't, it's a strong indication Schoen and Daboll are not the answer.  Not just the starting QB should be held accountable for the mess that is the 2024 NY Giants

Selected 0-2. Cowboys and Colts are the only games where I feel there's a real chance (and if Anthony Richardson's revival last week is indicative of how he plays moving forward, I'm doubtful of that game). The Giants are still not going to be able to roster an average player at the QB position, which will likely yield largely similar results to the Giants' pre-bye week performance. Further, DeVito will not have the benefit of Andrew Thomas covering his blindside, as Jones did for the first 6 weeks. My expectations on the next few weeks don't change much, if at all, in the wake of Jones's benching.

Good point Htown...many here said Devito success last year was because he had Thomas whereas Jones did not. Now that is reversed so it will be yet another indication on both what Jones was and what Devito is.

Time will tell

It's not an easy schedule. The most likely win is against Dallas. I figure 3 but it could be less. I'll know more after this weekend. We have no idea how Tommy will play.

I hope for none.

For the first time in my life, I will not be happy with a Giants win.

If they win games to move them out of prime (son) draft position, it will tell me that this organization can't do sh*t right. Lose when they're supposed to win and win when they're supposed to lose.

Where did you stand last year when they were out of it?

So, your reasoning is that unless they win a minimum of 2 or 3 of their final 7 games- why not settle for 2- with a better than Jones QB (DeVito or Lock) against opponents with better than Jones QBs and already more than 2 wins among the 7 remaining (having won earlier against the Browns), it will be an indictment of Schoen and/or Daboll?

Frankly, I find that to be an invitation to meander down the back corridors of logic or, perhaps, of some personal bias.

Cheers!

Let me simplify.  If the Giants don't win 2 more games, then Schoen and Daboll will have literally taken the 4 and 13 team and made it worse (you are what your record says you are).   Schoen was gifted extra picks in 2022 including the 7th overall pick.   Schoen also inherited seven Pro-Bowl caliber talents in Dex, AT, Barkley, and McKinney. L. Williams, Jack Rabbit, and Love

Quite honestly, I wanted to see the offense with Taylor and DeVito to get an idea of where the problem was. It wasn't so much about wins and losses to me, but more of validation of what many of us thought would happen with a different QB.

I'll take it as long as they get to choose their QB. If that happens, I give them two years to show major improvement offensively.

To each their own, my focus has always been exclusively on the team's short—and long-term fortunes.

They choose their QB in the 2023 off-season
