Don't worry Tommy. I'm still going to try to convince my sister to make Chicken Cutlets on Thanksgiving.

He has sent word to his family and agent that there will be none of that.  So anticipate no more finger purses from Tommy, no agent dressed up as an Italian caricature, his family is much more low-key, etc.

He can't control the memes or how the networks or the fans portray him, but unlike last year, Tommy isn't going to be feeding the beast.

I am referring more to his cult-like following of fans.

I didn't consider him a sideshow when he won more games as a starter than either of our other two quarterbacks. But if he wants to focus more on football than he did last season, I have no complaints about that either.

Just a hunch on my side Jack: the kid has enough talent that his positive attitude (bordering obnoxiousness)/ moxy can push him to success.

I am very skeptical about his talent...

I hope we play well...but I fear he'll help us win some games...while also proving to us he's NOT the future...

We'll see how we feel in January once the games are done and we learn our draft position...

I find Tommy to be a bit of a mystery.  TD doesn't possess elite arm talent and isn't particularly athletic.   Last season, he didn't turn the ball over, but he held on to the ball for too long.  He is 26, and he was undrafted last year.   He clearly gave the team a bit of spark last season when he came for the injured Tyrod Taylor.

I will confess, I have no idea what we will see from him come Sunday.  He could be impressive and lead the team to a win, or he could crash and burn.  Neither outcome would surprise me.

I'm hoping he has elevated his game so that he doesn't get spooked by inside pressure and get swallowed up because he didn't pull the trigger with any anticipation or hesitated to make the throw. I don't know what to expect either. I only know he seems to learn with experience.
"There is a greater purpose...that purpose is team. Winning, losing, playing hard, playing well, doing it for each other, winning the right way, winning the right way is a very important thing to me... Championships are won by teams who love one another, who respect one another, and play for and support one another."
