Yeah, I saw that trick.  If you are going to single out DJ's supporters, it's a bit of a double standard to not mention the critics and instead use the cover of every person on the planet catch-all.  Be consistent; either don't mention just the supporters or give equal and fair treatment by mentioning both. 

Look, I get it. You guys who have bashed our QB for years are pretty giddy, but it's even more fun to needle the people you have been giving a hard time to for the past six years (not that the other side didn't give as good as it got).  I didn't say Ed wasn't allowed to get his dig in, just like I could laugh at his attempt or feel like you are trying to game me by claiming a specific mention equals being included on the planet catchall.

What you're going to have a hard time doing is telling fans how to be fans. Everyone has their own posting style and comment on what they choose. That's what makes this place run.

Did you read what I wrote?  I made it a point that I didn't object to or think Ed shouldn't have posted the dig.  By the same token, people are be allowed to be amused by such a transparent attempt.

Read what you wrote.  I have my own style as well.  I didn't tell Ed how to be a fan (like you are trying to do to me); I simply acknowledged the attempt and indicated I found it humorous.  You need to let me be a fan as well.   Frankly, I think Ed's a big boy.  If he wants to needle me, I am sure he can handle a little laughter in return. 

People are starting to complain about this sort of petty nonsense. I think you need to dial it back and let us talk about football.  There were no name-calling, insults, or disrespect here so we didn't need the cyberpolice

I'm not giddy at all.  I never liked Jones as a franchise QB, but am horrified at what our team has become. How do Daboll and Schoen survive this??  They were stuck with Jones, but that second contract is horrific, then Barkley walks to PHILLY and looks like Superman.  Other players have success.  Wink leaves.  It's a Giant mess.  I don't even think there's a QB in the next draft to get excited for.

If they survive, my gut tells me Mara wanted DJ to be here.  It's the only thing that makes sense at this point.  Otherwise I don't have confidence in the GM and Coach if they really thought this was the way.  Schoen at least has made some good moves/picks so there's that.

THIS! It's all on Mara. It's in his DNA to make Jones type decisions. If Pete Rozelle didn't step in we would never have had George Young. There are definite similarities in how Wellington did, and John goes about ownership. How can there not be? Father and son. They hire(d) family soldiers, and would influence. Jones' contract is all on Mara. Now the compromise is being exercised. It's a business. The players will tell you that. Therefore they should just go about their business, and not voice their dismay, and/or feel bad for Jones. Can't have it both ways. One of their NFLPA brethren is now on the sideline out of harms way collecting the back end of $40 Million. No need to cry for Jones. Let's see who Schoen/Dabol value in this draft at QB. Unhappy about what? The fact that Daniel Jones who currently has a base salary of $35.5 million with a cap cost of $ 47.85 million has a 24-44-1 QBrec in his 5 1/2 seasons while winning just 3 of his last 16 games with an average PR of 75?

If I was a player in that locker room, I can imagine feeling unhappy as long as I was sure that I had nothing to do with his rather obvious failure.
