Colorado two-way superstar Travis Hunter asserted that he is 'definitely' entering the 2025 NFL Draft, and plans to play on both sides of the ball at the professional level

And it begins

They way draftniks have been talking, I thought this was already a done deal.   Some say he could be the first overall pick

Some of the more impatient so calls are guessing Number One overall which I suppose would require a pass by several thought to be QB-needy teams including ours truly.

Cheers!

He's a terrific and unique player. I doubt it's in his or a team's best interests to be full time both sides. I read or heard he's likely to be coming out as a Corner. But I can see him getting some snaps as a Receiver too. There's a lot of talk of him as the number one pick. He's also Dion's honorary second son.

I think Dion will be offered a HC position and if he does and takes it, it will be interesting to see where Travis and Shedeur will be restricted from going.

Winning, losing, playing hard, playing well, doing it for each other, winning the right way, winning the right way is a very important thing to me... Championships are won by teams who love one another, who respect one another, and play for and support one another."

Larry,

I took it differently (with the advantage of hearing their full explanations).   They list him as the number one overall player because he is the highest-rated player on their boards.  The men I listened to are well aware of QBs being overvalued and being taken higher than where their grade warrants.

Where there is some value in declaring him number one, is it gives one a sense of the strength of this draft class at the top.    I don't think many would consider Hunter in the same league as Harris Jr. Caleb, or Nabers (for example)

Great player.  Seems very instinctual when watching him play.  Certainly has the size and athleticism for the NFL.  I dont see a QB prospect as clean as he is though not sure he is the best NFL prospect.

So, if there IS a QB that the Giants like, if Hunter goes #1 it would make it easier to grab our guy, again, provided there is one so-called 'our guy'.
