Rosehill Jimmy

I take no pleasure in saying this but my decision to not renew my season tickets for 2025 ( after 63 years) is looking better and better
"It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing"

I want Bellichick because he will bring immediately pride and professionalism and I know all the small things on the sideline will be handled by a pro. Lastly, he always does well with a no name defense. He can work wonders with ours.

Go get him before Jerry Jones does.

That is a damning assessment of this team.  The Giants are bleeding long time fans and are losing generations of new fans

You will never hear players from a Belichick coached team say players were soft because BB will see it and bench them immediately.  We need BB's toughness, not a player's coach.  We need a HC who understands a system is not a collection of parts.

Thinking Belichek is going to come here and wave some magic wand is absolute lunacy.  If we were here and benched Nabers because of what he said when the team was 2-9, Nabers would likely say, "Fine, bench me.  See if I care...." and only cause a further rift between the players and coaches.  The other players would see this as Bill's ego being put before the team when he is benching the team's best offensive player.

People conveniently forget that TC came in like that and almost lost the team. It wasn't until he softened his stance that they warmed up to him.

Anyone thinking BB would come in here and fix things, is wearing rose tinted goggles as they harken back to the Brady era, and fail to see what he did after Brady left, or some of what eh did prior, or in Cleveland.

Good morning, Rich @MightyGiants .

Your statement MUST become front page news delivered to the front door of John Mara and Steve Tisch every single day until they look around their wretched Sardine Can and, to their surprise, find only visiting team's fans and not a single Giant fan. No Giants NFL Properties sales, nothing!

But the best thing that could happen is MetLife pull its sign off that building and replace it with its actual descriptor:

SARDINE CAN

It would be the ideal home for both Jets and Giants owners.

It stinks!

Peace!

"Dave Jennings was one of the all-time great Giants. He was a valued member of the Giants family for more than 30 years as a player and a broadcaster, and we were thrilled to include him in our Ring of Honor. We will miss him dearly." (John Mara)

I listened to Mike Lombardi opine about the good old days when Commissioner Roselle could stage an intervention for the dysfunctional team in the league's biggest market.   Now, in today's more profit-driven league, the Commissioner would never be allowed to do that.

Sadly, what we see is one of my life beliefs-  People in power will tend to do what is needed to stay in power

In this case, the people in power at 1925 Giants Way are telling John Mara the things that will allow them to keep their cushy, no-obligation jobs rather than telling John what he needs to hear to fix this broken franchise.

You are spot on, good sir.

That is the most logical explanation for the fourth (4th) richest NFL team getting richer while the quality of the product they produce continues to reach new lows and more intense odors!

Peace!

There's absolutely no incentive or reason for the NFL to get involved. There are 32 owners. None of them care about the fans. They say they do but their actions say they don't.

They bring in more and more money with each passing week and they sell their broadcast rights to streaming platforms to get even more money.

Wash your gripes down with your medium Pepsi and we'll see you next week.

The NYC market is the NFl's largest.  With two of their worst franchises (for the past decade) playing in that market, it's not good for the growth of the league or TV revenue.

Plus, there was something to be said when the NFC East was the NFC Beast.  All those huge markets (Dallas, DC area, Philly, and NYC) are all engrossed in watching their teams battle it out for supremacy.  An added bonus was that they were often rivaled by the big West Coast markets like San Fran and LA.

I think we can all agree that the Giants have put out an inferior product for the past 10+ years.

In 2013, the Giants were valued at $1.55B. In 2023, they were valued at $6.8B.

In 2013, the Jets were valued at $1.38B. In 2023, they were valued at $6.1B.

The perennial losing hasn't hurt the value of the product. And that's all the owners care about.

The value is increasing, of that, there is no doubt.  It likely could increase more if the NFL was fully taking advantage of the NYC metro region.  I think the top ten metro regions can illustrate my point.
