Four more losses to go for our new QB!

Daboll is the guy for a young QB.

Quote from: Philosophers on December 08, 2024, 04:50:46 PMOne name that I have not seen mentioned as a potential HC for the Giants is Todd Monken, the OC of the Ravens.  He has the Ravens O playing well plus the John Harbaugh tree has put out some amazing coordinators and now one interesting HC in Mike MacDonald.  Monken helped make Lamar into a much more complete QB.

Interesting suggestion but certainly an accomplished coach in both the NFL and NCAA Division I at the highest level at the positional coach, offensive coordinator and also three years as a head coach at Southern MS.

Todd Monken - Baltimore Ravens Offensive Coordinator

Coming from John Harbaugh's coaching tree is a plus. That said, I would be interested in learning more about his management style and his philosophy on defense.

Would hiring him open the door to other coaches in Harbaugh's tree?

Is Monken even interested in taking the leap into head coaching right now? Wouldn't he be more focused on getting Lamar and his offense over the hump to a Super Bowl first?

Still, if he would accept an interview, I'd bring him in.

Peace!

Coach needs to be from defense. It's been too long.

I hope you're right but Daboll definitely looks overmatched trying to do the offense and be the head coach.

I am not defending the job Daboll has done overall, but I don't know what people want him to say in these press conferences.

I think he will either turn OC duties back over to Kafka or let him go and hire a new OC.

He'd be setting himself up for failure if he does both again next year.

Quote from: Doc16LT56 on December 08, 2024, 04:52:47 PMCoaching the New York Giants is not a right you forfeit by making obvious mistakes. It's a privilege you must earn year after year by clearly demonstrating the value you bring. What value has Daboll shown he brings? Why is he entitled to the job because the losing "isn't his fault?"

Enough with the excuse making. Enough of the half measures. Burn it all down and start over.

Hasnt found talent and has not developed it.  Checkmate Dabs.

There's no right answer at this point. Optimistic? He's out of touch. Pessimistic? He's weak minded. He may be a bad coach who is on his way out but cutting up his post-game pressers to make a point is silly to me.

I don't get this at all. Go for the best coach available. Who cares which side they come from.

I just want a head coach. Not a coordinator. Someone who knows how to handle the complete team. Not focusing on one side of the ball or the other. Giants haven't had that in a long time.
