Saquon opens the second half, first play from scrimmage, a seventy yard TD run.

John is crying for his Mommy right about now.

From Simms to Eli (with an assist from Hoss) our Super Bowl Quarterbacks. Great defense and clutch QB performances...NY Giants Championship football.

I have an old profile still floating around: andrew_nyg....I am one and the same!

In the fetal position. Lol

After 2000 yards rushing and an MVP MetLife should be imploded.

andrew_nyGiants

That's a good idea.

MetLife is probably the worst venue in the NFL.

The team and the stadium suck!

BLOW IT ALL UP!

I'm sure Saquon will have a chance to set a few records in the last regular season game against the Giants. Be prepared for him to run wild against our pitiful run defense if that's the case. It'll get ugly.

If you want to torture yourself, just think about if the Giants selected AJ Brown instead of DeAndre Baker in 2019.

For everyone saying Mara is a meddling owner - it appears he was 100% correct on keeping Saquon.

I was happy going with RB by committee (I still am because I don't think Saquon would've changed much here)...but at the end of the day regarding Barkley, the owner wasn't wrong.

He was not.  Saquon was here and they still lost. He was great and they sucked. There's no way you spend that much money for a RB because it'll prevent you from putting a team around him. Not to mention Saquon didn't want to be here anymore anyway and I for one don't blame him. It's silly to think he'd be having this season with the the Giants when the OL and QB for the eagles are all pros.

I agree but also it's a bit of malpractice to say we didn't have the money for Barkley while at the same time paying Singletary 6 million and Lock 5 million ....for them to sit on the bench.

What is crazy to think about is if Hurts hadn't vultured so many TDs this season Barkley would be in the drivers seat for league MVP.

All I'm saying is production wise - Mara not wanting to lose Saquon (is 100% correct statistically speaking). I'm glad he left. He's an injury away from a waste of money. But he is producing and the owner didn't want to lose him. He wasn't wrong is all.

What exactly was he right about and we were wrong?

Do you think having Barkley this year would change our record?

I was never the biggest Barkley fan. I hated the pick and didn't want to spend big money on him. But we all have to face reality. The guy is having an offensive player of the year type season while we are struggling to score any points. The way they handled their off-season moves looks bad (Singletary, Lock, etc). This may all change in another year with age, mileage,  injury, etc. But for now, Saquon is killing it and making us look foolish.

Most people here said he would be a top RB because he had a great line to run behind. I don't think anyone expected him to be worse than he was with us.

He was right when during Hard Knocks he let it be known he did not want him to be on another team. He was 100% correct. His production and leadership on the Eagles proves it.

Yes I think we would have a better record with Saquon. Not much better though. And to be clear, I'm not upset he is gone. I'm just saying the owner wasn't wrong.
