He's 24 and with guys commonly playing at a high level into their mid 30's I'd gladly take a decade of good quarterback play. Because of the position it's not common to see guys enter the league under 22. Most guys redshirt, sit for a year or two and then play at least 2 years before hitting the draft. Caleb Williams is the exception.

Do you consider 20th ranked QBs to be good? Would you be satisfied if that's where he stays?

For a rookie? Yes. For a 3rd year player, no, but 20th would be a huge improvement over Jones this year and last.

Would be happy to revisit next year and the year after. Because I'd be willing to bet Nix is closer to still being 20th ranked at that time rather than 12th ranked.

I assume you're not kidding. Bo Nix has gotten better with every game. If you want to look at trends, go back three games. If I can have a Franchise QB for ten years, who can get my team to the playoffs, that's more than most teams have. I expect him to hit a Rookie Wall soon as happens with every Rookie their first year, but this kid is in the running for Rookie of the year. Every indication is he has a bright future in this league. Next lets see how he performs under pressure in big games. I like that he hung in there for his college teammates but my one ding on him is losing to Penix.
"There is a greater purpose...that purpose is team. Winning, losing, playing hard, playing well, doing it for each other, winning the right way, winning the right way is a very important thing to me... Championships are won by teams who love one another, who respect one another, and play for and support one another."

Why would I be kidding? He's a very old rookie whose performance thus far has him as a below average QB.

As I wasn't a fan of his going into the draft, I obviously don't expect him to get much better. Appreciate that others feel differently. But I'm not going to sit here and wring my hands over missing the boat on a mediocre QB. I'd much rather suffer through another year or 2 of awful play and get an elite QB who will actually move the needle.

And I find it ironic that Nix is held in such high regard after we just suffered through the impact of handing a second contract to a below average QB.

265 yards passing average, 8 TD and 0 int. Well over 100 rating avg, 65% completion %, QBR 64-75, in the last three games. We shall see.

Bo Nix is playing very well.and every game he seems to play better
Now does that mean next year he doesn't fall.flat.
We will see
Also this idea we dont have good offensive players is false
We didn't have the right QB
Or maybe even coach

When you get 5 years of good QB play you are happy.  When you get 10 you feel blessed.  Who cares if he is a 22 or 25 year old rookie?  A QB's upside is mental development and processing, rarely physical.

Ed Vette

He is one of the best at throwing on the run too. Mahomes is like, "Hey!"
