With DJ being demoted/released, DeVito banged up, the OL banged up AGAIN and light at true DB depth, have they gone full tank mode?!

Do they have their sights set on a rookie QB and positioning themselves to take him?

I don't see one worthy of being picked that high.
Do you?!

This is looking more and more disjointed by the day.

From Simms to Eli (with an assist from Hoss) our Super Bowl Quarterbacks. Great defense and clutch QB performances...NY Giants Championship football.

I have an old profile still floating around: andrew_nyg....I am one and the same!

I certainly thinks Schoen has a plan. I think whatever it is Mara has signed off on it.

I think there's evidence with the structure of the DJ contract that meant if he didn't kick on, there's an out. Whether they have a plan for a QB at 1 or 2 or are trading back for a king's ransom and getting a bridge QB for a couple of years, I'm not sure. But I'd be happy with a bridge QB, plenty of re-treads have proven to be successful with other teams over the last couple of years.

But I do trust Schoen and I do think there will be clear steps taken forward next year. In

Would you take Rodgers (on a cheap deal) as a bridge?

I'm not too sure I would. But I am sure he would be in the conversation, should he be cut.

If we draft a QB then I would be more inclined to grab Rodgers and let him help the kid along

I'm not convinced he's the right player for that. I don't think he helped Love too much.

I wouldn't want a young kid to go anywhere NEAR Rodgers.  Let alone the fact that he's not even good any more.

Rodgers would not help a young guy, if you like him as a vet that is one thing. The guy is not a mentor though.

We had better not win another game if we want that #1 pick. For sure, Oakland is not winning anymore.
I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.

Only with a written guarantee that Schoen uses his draft and free agency to immediately fix the Offensive Line. If not, then fund the Rodgers estate with a multi-billion dollar insurance policy since he likely wouldn't make it out, alive, of the first half of game one.

Peace!

"Dave Jennings was one of the all-time great Giants. He was a valued member of the Giants family for more than 30 years as a player and a broadcaster, and we were thrilled to include him in our Ring of Honor. We will miss him dearly." (John Mara)

In what alternate universe would Rodgers help bring along a young QB??
