Andrew Brandt (former agent and Packers front office) has an interesting article about the evolving view of the value of veteran RBs.

Which is the point that everybody is missing. What good does Henry do on the titans this year? He does a bunch of nothing. Saquon has always been an excellent player on a lousy team. Without a QB this year would have been more of the same.

The ravens and eagles are super bowl contenders that needed a RB and had the money to go get the most expensive one. But they both can't win the Superbowl so at least one of them is going to end up disappointed and have an older RB with another year of wear and tear on him.

It was the right decision by the Giants. It was the right decision by the eagles. And it was the right decision by Saquon.
