He had a lot to clean up between the roster and cap. Yes, it's a legit argument that after three years that the roster isn't much better than what he inherited.

As I have been saying, the QB is the biggest roster blemish that he inherited. I'm OK with letting them pick their QB and seeing how the team, mostly the offense, performs. If there is significant improvement (mostly in on-field performance), great. If not, they can kick rocks.

I agree that 3 years is too soon, especially with rookie contracts being mostly 4 years.

I think he made two QB choices already (re-signing Jones and drafting one last year).  Should he get a 3rd chance or do they start fresh?  Jones had a good year in 2022 but the year before he had a series neck injury and they changed the offensive scheme in 2023 which told me they saw something in Jones that he wasn't.  Jones had a leg injury in 2023 but they must have still had the vision of him as a pocket passer and chose Nabers rather than moving on from Jones.  I think Daboll called plays he thought Jones could execute but he couldn't.  So, I think they missed in the vision of Jones and now I don't trust Schoen to draft or sign his replacement.

Some other Schoen decision that I don't think have worked out: What if he kept Williams (Burns isn't signed in this scenario), McKinney, and Barkley? I guess they'd have a similar record because of the QB situation but the roster would be more talented then it is today.

The Waller signing was a pretty big miss too.  Nabers vs QB will probably be debated for years to come.  I also don't think Daboll has worked out.

I'd feel better if a different GM made the QB choice this upcoming off-season.

Pundits we don't need no stink in' pundits. We can see it with our own eyes.
You have some pundits saying Boyle looked better than all the other QBs the Giants fielded. He is throwing it with anticipation. I'm thinking to myself, Boyle is new coming in thinking his past team's way of playing and Daboll hasn't whispered in his ears yet.
