Barkley has always had that kind of speed and productivity in space. However, despite his thighs, he isn't a particularly agile or powerful runner which is why he has always been seen as a boom or bust RB, certainly not a reliable short yardage type. Still, he is a highly productive runner who thrives once past the LOS which is what he was with the Giants and even more so with a more talented Eagles team. Moreover, as the Eagles have a better balanced, more effective passing game, they are able to make the most of Barkley's game as well.

Cheers!

Per PFF, "While the football world sings the praises of Saquon Barkley — as they should — not enough is being said about how well this Eagles offensive line is in paving the way for its back. This offensive line holds the second-highest run blocking grade (83.0) in the NFL, highlighted by the league's highest-graded tackle in Jordan Mailata, who owns an insane 94.2 PFF run-blocking grade."

As the Panthers rank 31st in Run D, Saquon should add substantially today to his already outstanding 1,499 Yds and 6.1 Y/A.

Cheers!

It's hard to hi peak speed when 2 defensive lineman are waiting for you in the backfield.
Seriously I doubt anyone gets faster at 27, truth is he never lost it. Giants fans are so jaded now they just think every player on the team stinks (Barkley, McKinney, etc).
