LOL she better watch out. Bill's waving eye will see a younger version of her.

The ring camera footage of him taking the walk of shame, Bill has been putting in work since he retired.

Seems like a good gig for him, the HC in college has to recruit and bring players in, NFL teams wont let him do that anymore so might be a happy medium for him.

Crazy that he's so close to Shula's record and he's (apparently) not willing to relinquish roster decisions, especially given he piledrove New England's roster into the ground. I'm rather thankful we don't have to have another offseason of conjecture about him.

He would build a 100% NFL program at the college level.  What top prospect wouldnt be very intrigued by that?

Bill Belichick, the longtime New England Patriots coach who won six Super Bowls but has not led a team in a year, will be the next football coach at the University of North Carolina, sources briefed on the matter told The Athletic on Wednesday. The deal is for $30 million over three years, according to sources briefed on the matter.
"There is a greater purpose...that purpose is team. Winning, losing, playing hard, playing well, doing it for each other, winning the right way, winning the right way is a very important thing to me... Championships are won by teams who love one another, who respect one another, and play for and support one another."

Pre NIL, I'd agree with you; today, it's about the money.

Kids went to Saban for how he developed them and made them 1st round picks.  Keep in mind that UNC has a huge alumni network that has an insane amount of affluence (lots of Wall St jobs).  I am sure Bill said they have to be an aggressive NIL to compete and UNC said yes.  Add those two up and it's a powerful argument.

Sabin retired the year after the NIL implementation; thus, he never really had to recruit in this new paradigm.  In fact, he retired because of the portal and NIL:

"Saban cited the changing landscape of college football, evolving player behavior, and shifting motivations as key reasons behind his decision to step down from coaching.Sep 2, 2024"

The ones that can go to Georgia, OSU, Texas, Alabama without having to deal with an angry old man. Can't wait till he has to kiss the rear end of some young five star recruit only to have that kid commit and then decommit on signing day because some other school offered him more money and guaranteed the starting job. His buddy Saban couldn't take any more of it so he quit. I'll be shocked if he lasts two years.
