If he becomes the #1 pick, then the cowboys would need to tank the season to be able to get him, not sure if that's going to happen while Prescott is the QB.

Will just have to wait and see

Or the family could insist that he play there, even if the Cowboys are not picking early enough to get him. Just like they did with Eli.

Yes, but they would have to be in striking distance, and without the #1 pick they'd need to give up a whole lot to get him.

Keep in mind the Giants had the 4th pick when they made the trade for Eli, so it wasn't that big of a jump.

Will have to see what happens when that time comes.

Imagine we have pick 1 and take him, he says he'll only play for dallas, and we hold them ransom with a price so high it ruins them for a decade or they refuse to pay...

Let it be.

Is nobody else concerned about the amount of hype thrown at a guy who has all of 95 collegiate passing attempts under his belt? Talking about him like a lock to go #1 next year when he's yet to even be the #1 QB at his own school. How much of this is just built on name value?

I don't know why Giants fans feel Arch should come here, as if he has some attachment or allegiance to the Giants.

He's Cooper's son, and as such, he has two 2-time SB-winning uncles.

Personally, I don't know that he'll live up to the undue and unfair pressure of following in Eli's footsteps and making a name for himself in NY.

Arch is what? Two years in? Not even a starter..yet. let's not get ahead of ourselves.

I need to see him play a lot more before I'm making an evaluation. But I hardly think Arch will feel starched going to New York with Eli's legacy.

Giants QB will probably come out of this draft.

Correct.

Arch is 19 and hasn't even been a full time college starter yet. I doubt he comes out after the 2025 season (ie I doubt he will be in the 2026 draft). I have a feeling he will be in the class of 2027.

Why would he rush? He certainly doesn't need to worry about money. His number one concern should be putting himself in a position to where he has the best chance of greatness in the NFL. I would argue playing at least two full seasons in college as the starter is the path to that. His uncles would certainly agree and are living proof of it. And we heard his Grandfather in that video say he hopes he plays more than just one more year.

If we draft a QB in this upcoming draft and the guy is a total bust, and we continue to be inept, who knows - we may well be looking for a QB AGAIN in two years time.

Arch was never considered a generational QB coming out of high school like say Trevor Lawrence was.  Bryce Underwood is the next generational QB.  Watch for him next year at Michigan.  6'4" 210 pounds.

Arch wasn't just 5 star but he was the top rated recruit overall in the 2023 class according to rivals.

The term "generational" gets thrown around too casually. We don't know yet how good Arch or Underwood will be. Both are very good prospects. Arch looked excellent for the most part when he played this year. Much better QB rating and YPA than Ewers and he makes high level plays with his feet. Not bad at all for a 19 year old.
