If what Dan Schneier is concluding about Lock then continuing to play him over a now healthy DeVito is all the proof you need that they are purposely putting the worst players on the field to get that 1st overall pick.

I suppose you can't IR everyone without payroll and cap complicity coming into play right?

I would say that most sure fire QB picks fail as much due to their inability to be that guy as being drafted by a poor organization.

As to the latter relative to the Giants, I would say the jury is still out.

Dropped passes, penalties, poor pass protection, and weak play calling, can you imagine a newly drafted rookie QB thriving under such conditions as he engages in the critical NFL development phase of his career?


A new QB, in my opinion, will not solve the problems because they are far more deep-rooted.  All drafting a quarterback will accomplish is ruining a young quarterback's NFL dreams.

Those reasons also destroyed the promising career of Daniel Jones. There were 10-12 teams interested in him with at least three offering him their starting job. He ultimately chose the Vikings because of the "situation " there. Even if it meant waiting on the Practice Squad for next year.

Briefly in Seattle until he was beaten out by journeyman Geno and never got to play except when we injured him. Lock actually looked good in that game so thank to our Charmin Soft D he impressed Schoen to sign him to replace Taylor. It all makes sense now.
