That was a hard landing and the Sardine Can turf claims yet another in a long line of unsuspecting victims.

Tough break (bad choice of words, I know), but I wish him a full and successful recovery.

Peace!

In fairness, sticking your hand straight out like that is a less than ideal way to break one's fall

Hi Rich @MightyGiants .

While that is true, at least it wasn't his throwing hand or, worse yet, his head.

The manner in which the play unfolded will be a tale of caution to every QB out there that demonstrating your leadership to the team is one thing, but putting yourself in harm's way, especially in a stadium highly prone to turf contact-related injuries, isn't worth the risk of throwing your season away. I admire the man's courage, which has never been doubted to begin with, but next time take the ground express route instead of par avion!

I don't fault the man for what he was trying to do. It's another bad situation where he'll lose time due to injury in what will be a lost season for the Saints.

They're in good company.

Peace!
