SMART, TOUGH, DEPENDABLE

When I look at Ward play, I see a young Jameis Winston.

That's not what we need right now.

As to Ceri's assertion that Schoen nor Daboll should be making any future choices, I don't disagree.

But at this point I have even less confidence in Mara choosing the right leadership. Clearly BB either feels the same way or he was told by Mara that he himself wasn't a candidate otherwise I believe he would not be wearing North Carolina blue right now.

From Simms to Eli (with an assist from Hoss) our Super Bowl Quarterbacks. Great defense and clutch QB performances...NY Giants Championship football.

I have an old profile still floating around: andrew_nyg....I am one and the same!

Sanders looks awful. Actually he looks brutal.

Ward looked much more polished and aware.

And I was in Sanders camp before the night began. I wouldn't wanna be joe Schoen right now.

The Giants should put Nabors, Slayton, WDR and Hyatt on IR. Coast and pick Cam Ward with the #1 pick.

Not a good night for the Sanders family.

I watched both games tonight. Not a huge fan of either guy. I've watched some of their games in the past not impressed.

Having said that if I had to choose between these two men 1000% I would go with Ward.

Saunders look pretty bad today. I still remember watching him against Nebraska. He absolutely got torn up and let me tell you the other 31 NFL teams are much better than Nebraska.

Why? Its obvious is Ward or a 2nd round QB

Part of the problem Colorado faced was a poor game plan against better team. I believe that Pat Shurmur calls the Offensive Plays. His system was completely shut down. A lot of those sacks were the result of exploiting the chinks in the Colorado Offensive Line, but some were the result of not checking down or hitting the hot read. When he just should have thrown the ball away, he took a huge loss or it resulted in an Elvis Grbac sack.

Passing on Hunter to draft one of these middling QB talents is going to be like passing on PrimeTime to draft Rodney Peete.

Agree Jeff.

I'd rather have Hunter, Will Johnson or Mason Graham then get Milroe later in round 1/early round 2.  As you said, you cant pass on talent.

I also want a QB who is elusive.  That is not Sanders or Ward.  Today an NFL QB needs to be a bit ofna threat to run.

Peace!

Funny but reasonable analogy!

If the Giants keep the #1 slot, they could go the Hunter route, because he's that impressive, or work a scenario to move down no further than draft slot five (5) and get the best lineman in the country. You all know who I like (Banks Jr., LT, Texas) but I'm equally good with DT or Edge.

It really isn't the end of the world if the Giants pass on these two young QBs and, in good faith, build up their trenches into a team strength.

The 🍒 on top would be a bruising running back in the mold of a Brandon Jacobs, Henry or Cook. It's time to start adding some toughness to the offense.

If you want to try and QB from this draft, there are other options offered by others here, and if they were to add Banks Jr. from Texas, they could also take a number on his teammates Ewers.

Yesterday was one audition of several to come for the main two QBs. I am hopeful it takes the pressure off this Giants brass as far as feeling pressed to have to select one of them, as they could do something different and be in a better position to get their guy in 2026.

Peace!

Sorry but IMHO he's the most overrated draft prospect since Desmond Howard. Great athlete though.

Part of the reason I love the trade down to #5 or #6 is to acquire another 3rd rounder to use on Judkins from Ohio St. He would complement Tracy nicely.

But my preference would be Johnson (CB) in the first. Our secondary is a legit mess, and there are several solid OTs projected to go early 2nd (my favorite is Milum out of W.Va.)
