"There is a greater purpose...that purpose is team. Winning, losing, playing hard, playing well, doing it for each other, winning the right way, winning the right way is a very important thing to me... Championships are won by teams who love one another, who respect one another, and play for and support one another."

1. Beckham (not the best career but definitely the best ever from a talent and single season point of view)

2. Cruz

3. Toomer

4. Plax

5. Nicks

I like your picks.  I'd reorder them based difficulty for opposing defenses.

I think Plax was hardest to cover followed by OBJ, Cruz, Nicks and Toomer.

I know what you mean about Plax but OBJ in 2014, 2015, and 2016 was simply otherworldly. I don't see how anyone in Giants history can be rated above that. He was arguably the best receiver in the league those years. Certainly in the top 2 or 3. A two time all pro. Plax was definitely good, but he was never in a single pro bowl. There was never a year where he was considered elite around the league. Beckham definitely was in those years. The numbers speak for themselves.

That's who they picked too.

Great argument.  I make OBJ #1 and Plax #2

OBJ
Cruz
Toomer
Plax
Nicks

In that order, Cruz would be #1 if his run was longer, that injury killed his career. His breakout season, is arguably the best Giants WR season, period.

1- Toomer
2- Jones
3- OBJ
4- Nicks
5- Cruz

I do not recognize that guy in the photo? When did he play receiver for the Giants?  =))

Any list without Homer Jones is a tragedy. He absolutely dominated NFL defenders. My dad said no one could cover him. He was too big and fast. He invented the spike! Imagine that, a Giants fanbase who has meltdowns any time a player shows any sort of flash or personality had the best receiver in the NFL spiking the ball instead of handing it to the refs!

Toomer (duh)
Jones
OBJ
Nicks
Cruz

Honorable mention: Plax.

It depends on how you define "receiver."

Amani Toomer
Frank Gifford
Homer Jones
OBJ
Plax

I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.
