Lies with the Giants losing the next 2 games.

The Raiders dropped frpom 1 or 2 to sixth . The Giants cannot afford that.

The number 1 pick either lets us draft the QB for  the future whether it be Ward, Sanders or someone else OR if The Browns at number 5 or the Raiders at number 6 desperately want Sanders or Ward , we could get a haul for the first pick. We have so many holes on this team that more draft capital would be beneficial.

With draft capital and money to spend we could at least be competitive next year , not playoff worthy, but not the embarrassment that we presently are.

Who we could sign to play QB next yeare is above my pay grade and I leave that to others on this forum who are more knowledgable than  I am.

If the Giants sign Ward or Sanders, I'd sign Joe Flacco as my bridge QB.  He's been very successful, has loads of experience and would be a good tutor for the rookie.  At 39 he has maybe a year or 2 left which is at most all you'd need.  He can probably still generate some wins for the team early next season as the rookie sits and learns.  With an investment in a QB, they'd have to upgrade their OL so I'd look to draft 2 OL by round 4.

If the Giants don't draft Ward or Sanders and say draft another position or trade back, I'd still sign Flacco as my bridge QB and maybe bring in another inexpensive FA QB like Marcus Mariota.  Those two QBs won't get the Giants to the playoffs, but they get maybe a few wins in 2025 so draft high for 2026.  Here, the Giants load up in 2025 Draft to upgrade more positions.  I'd focus on the OL with other picks, especially an OT.  With Flacco/Mariotta generating only some wins, they'd also have high picks for 2026 Draft and look to draft a QB.

Trade down.  Take the best offer and do it.  Take OSU's QB will Howard in round 2, add a decent bridge qb in FA, get a solid CB#1 [FA or draft], and build that OL and DL/LB group with the draft.  We have good wr's, some decent DB's.

We didn't tank the top pick just to trade it away.

Get the QB, get some more players and depth with the rest of the picks, maybe trade back in the 2nd or 3rd if we have a willing partner.

FA, go after Trey Smith, Paulson Adebo, and resign Pinnock. If there is a way to bring Slayton and/or Azeez back, them too but I can't see those two happening. I would not bring anyone else back except Gillan and some of the ERFAs

Swing and DT would remain the two biggest needs between FA and rest of the draft. Idk what he would cost, but I would not mind prying Milton Williams from the Eagles. I love Deone Walker in the draft.
