I have no doubt that he read the letter himself and wrote the reply himself. Mara isn't Beyoncé getting thousands of letters from fans. He's a decent sort who will answer a letter like this. That's just a classic Mara response, just like he answers reporters at a press conference after another horrible season.

Wellington set a standard for excellence? Not buying that appreciation. He took over a great standard and ran into the ground before the league stepped in with his family feud. John has managed the incredible futility worse, much worse after inheriting Coughlin and Eli.

A nepotist nimrod on any level..just look at his sardine can stadium? Ugly.. unimaginative..just like his team. Fish rots from the head and, sadly and costly of our time and fandom, our years of loyalty and hope every season, it's a total money pit of waste and attention now, and for the foreseeable future.

Goodness me, for the most well informed fans of the Giants there are is a lot of speculation in these responses.

But hey. Why change.

Cheers?

Hi everyone, I'm new to the board. I had no idea my letter and the response would blow up and make it to message boards! I'm a middle school teacher, and I always tell my students about the "power of words." Today, I got to share with them how my letter went viral, demonstrating the real-world impact of words and actions. It was so cool to see their reactions as their teacher got so much attention on Twitter. Who knew?

Thank you all for your support—I didn't have any expectations when I wrote the letter. I just sent it to @eliracks, and he encouraged me to post it. As for the response, I was hopeful but didn't expect it to directly address my points. Still, knowing that my letter might have been read made it all worthwhile.

Ma'am,

Your words reached more than just John Mara. You inspired a loyal fan base!

May this experience bless you with drive and inspiration as you shape our youth into the proud future of this nation and, in many cases, this world.

God bless you!

Peace!

"Dave Jennings was one of the all-time great Giants. He was a valued member of the Giants family for more than 30 years as a player and a broadcaster, and we were thrilled to include him in our Ring of Honor. We will miss him dearly." (John Mara)
