How would you feel if Daboll came back with the proviso that he hires an OC and that OC would call the plays not Daboll.

Sadly we aren't having the #1 pick anymore

But if we would've gotten sanders I wouldn't have minded bringing back Shurmur as an OC

The NYG assistant jobs will not be attractive to the better candidates.

What half way decent coordinator would sign on for this hot mess knowing there's a 50/50 chance he'll be unemployed at the end of next year?

Not sure who the ," better " candidates might be . I was thinking of Davis Webb as OC .

Why?

If Daboll holds on to his job. he will start 2025 on the hot seat.  Assistants prefer better job security.   Either working for a new HC or an established HC.

It's why the Giants struggled to find coaches last off season.

All I know is I hate seeing who should have been the Giants head coach on the sidelines for the  14-2 Vikings.

Was he on the hot seat coming into the year?

Daboll has got a rep now of being difficult, whether warranted or not, and will hurt his quality staff hirings, if he stays, ergo why Mara wants to split the baby in all likelihood.

He's gone through a bunch of assistants in three years. Schoen, though, somehow pulls a Houdini and survives this mess.

Not as much, and as I said it was an issue

It was uncertain

That in itself was the reason we got our third choice for DC , and our Current OC wanted to leave but instead we gave him a promotion

If I'm Schoen, I'm telling him the only way he comes back is if he hires an OC to call plays.

"We're going to build this thing the right way... I'm not going to do a Hail Mary for self preservation. We've got a plan in place and we're going to stick with that"

If he comes back and this is the case they should do a real deep dive and compare Daboll to Kafka in terms of who called a better game
