Giants obviously screwed the pooch here.... Its still possible we get into top 3 next week but chances are low ... if we do we may still be able to get a QB..... BUT if we don't and we stay around 4-5

How would you feel about trading back ... are their any teams with 2 first round picks ?

 I KNOW I KNOW ... a RB... but he wouldn't be #2 overall but him and Tracy would be a killer 1-2 combo for the next 4-5 years.... then maybe we can draft a QB in round 2 and hope for the best there

Also whatever bridge QB we get whether its Fields or Lock (please God no) will not have to be so heavily reliant on .....

Backstabber Barkley carried the Eagles for most of the season while Hurts was on a slump.... if we can build the line even more and have this 1-2 punch maybe we can bring back smash mouth football on offense

2.0 in the sense that we don't need a RB as much as a line to block for him. I like Tracy and we can find a complement later in the draft.

This is true

But its also true.. that Barkley is on the verge of having the greatest season a RB ever had with a good O-line

Possible MVP season

If Jeanty is that talented and we can improve the O-line ... him AND Tracy could possibly carry a team with a lackluster QB on their backs

Ummm no.  I'm fine with trading back since they're not going to get their QB anyway...if they can get 2 first round picks this year in the process all the better.  But they should use those picks on a CB and OG.  Or if they love Milroe/Dart and want to take a flyer on one of them late in the 1st round.  They should not use either of those picks on a RB.  Because without a threat of a passing game, as we saw with Barkley all those years, the running back doesn't matter. 

They need to figure out the QB and fast before all the talent they actually do have is past their prime.  They had a perfect opportunity to do so and decided they'd rather screw over the fan base and their future prospects instead.  So here we are.

I agree with you .... But Philly did not really have a great passing game for most of the season

Lets say we Draft an OG and Jeanty ....the line is even better than it was the first 6 weeks of the season

And we do end up with someone like Fields .... Its possible that he MAY just be good enough to be able to utilize Nabers as a legit threat .... opening up the running game for Jeanty AND Tracy

Jeanty could be special, but no. Not unless the trade back package and draft slot worked exceptionally in their favor based on who is available that they like.

I'd rather get a Tahj Brooks, Raheim Sanders type guy later in the draft.

And the defense is just as crappy as they were this year?  To me a RB is a luxury since Tracy showed enough to make me think he can handle the job with some 4th ro 5th round pick added to help carry the load so to speak. 

The Eagles passing attack on it's worst day is still better than the Giants on any day other than last Sunday for some reason.  Smith on one side, Brown on the other, and a QB that can actually get them the ball or scramble if necessary are all a significant threat that defenses have to account for.  The Giants have nobody worth a crap at QB and only Nabers really as a threat defenses have to game plan for.

Eagles won't win another title..despite their great GM..their QB they protect, limit. Always very good, to Howie's super skill as GM...but not enough. Not good enough..despite Barkley.

Why they won't win this year?  Hurts. He can't elevate. And the coach. The coaching tree hit him stupid..philly.

Vikings and Rams have the best coaches..in the NFC..Dan Campbell I admire, too..but he has Ben Johnson too.

Drafting a RB in the top 15 almost never makes sense. It certainly doesn't make sense when a team is as awful as the Giants are. And it makes even less sense for the Giants given that Tracy has shown promise.

I've advocated for trying to acquire another pick in the 3rd to select Judkins. But that makes sense in that you're drafting him to play in tandem with Tracy and it allows you to take high end talent at a position of need in the 1st.

If you draft Jeanty, you're giving up on Tracy. Not a good idea.

I've got your back on this one PROVIDED you end any discussions about moving UP via a pick-swap with the current teams in those opsitions; a talent-devoid team like the Giants simply cannot give away draft capital with their overall talent level below average in the NFL at this time.

Now, moving DOWN, and potentially ADDING draft capital, is a scenario I most definitely would plan for. Not that I would make that my primary strategy, but if I'm receiving solicitations to swap picks from another team in the top 20, that might yield a #1 pick in 2026, I'm all ears.

Not with that being said, I hope have read enough of my posts regarding my opinions as to where the Giants should focus their #1 pick. If you haven't, I would encourage you to go through some of the other posts which roughly cover this topic and you will read my opinions there. But, for simplicity's sake, using their #1 to invest in any of the following:

- Offensive Line (LT/G)
- Cornerback
- Defensive Tackle
- Edge

Any of these spots getting filled by a player who could jump in, and contribute almost immediately, would be huge for this team.

As for the rest of the draft, I would like to see them fortify both offensive and defensive lines, grab a QB to develop (rounds 2 of 3), maybe add another safety to the defensive secondary.

As for your question of getting into the top three (3), as long as they lose to the Eagles, anything can happen so just sit back and buckle your seatbelt for a crazy final regular season week in the NFL!

As I wrote elsewhere. Unless you are already a Super Bowl contender, you don't draft a running back in the first round.
