That is true, but that doesn't mean teams with fewer Pro Bowl players have a competitive advantage.  Rather, that fact points to the fundamental weakness of the current management team.

You're right. I don't think there's a competitive advantage either way. The Pro Bowl selections don't carry the same weight anymore. It's great for the players for monetary incentives but beyond that, they don't determine much on the field.

There still seems to be a pretty strong correlation between the number of PB players and how good the team is

They certainly don't hurt lol

But look at the teams with 3 and 2. There's no rhyme or reason. Nothing can be gleaned from it and you can't pick out which teams are playoff bound and which ones aren't.

Also, Bobby Okereke who they signed in 2023 also had a big year, I believe over 149 tackles at the LB position, and many thought he got snubbed for the pro bowl that year.

So that may be two right there.
