These are often hard to do because few people bother to list the players who are actually still on the Giants' roster.   So I took the current Orlads depth chart and cross-referenced it with Over the Cap and Sportac to find out who is currently on the 2025 roster.  I also designated starters and exclusive rights free agents among all the players I had to take off the last Ourlads roster and put in the free agent column.  So, what do Schoen and Daboll need to do to put together the 2025 Giants roster?

Rich: Thank you for doing this. Bob
If Jeff Hostetler could do it, Daniel Jones can do it !!!

President Rick

despite some comments, we have to start somewhere and that means evaluating and keeping a lot of these players.  IMO it's more an issue of scheme/play calling on O and D, and then the lack of solid depth.  But all teams have those issues to surmount.  The good ones do.  IMO better coaching would do a lot for a team with these same players, given a healthy OL , a C= to B- qb, and a better record of getting turnovers.  Like it or not, many of these names will appear on our roster in 2025...you simply cannot replace 53 players in a season.

Defensive line looks really bad after Dex. Other than QB, I think that would be my first priority.

1. Find a starting QB by hook or by crook
2. Upgrade the defensive line with two new starters
3. Upgrade the offensive line with a starting guard and swing tackle
4. Add a starting corner
5. Add a starting safety
6. Add a WR2

So 8 new starters on offense and defense. That assumes the starters on IR like Thomas and Okereke come back strong.

Special teams also needs work.

Philosophers

My to do list is simple:

1) get a finctioning QB

2) get 2 OL quality starters (OG and ORT)

3) get a CB1

4) get a DT

5) get a WR2
