This is just a rumor and more speculation but was wondering-------

Tomlin is getting heat in Pittsburg, and someone suggested he could be traded for a high draft pick. Would you trade our #1 pick for Mike Tomlin?

What about this scenario

I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.

No, unless the TWO guys Schoen wanted most of ALL players in this draft are BOTH already gone... then yes. Bob
If Jeff Hostetler could do it, Daniel Jones can do it !!!

I am not advocating for this trade, but do you think the Broncos feel they overpaid for Payton?

QuoteThe Saints got a 2023 first-round pick, 29th overall, and a 2024 second for Payton, and New Orleans sent off a 2024 third-round pick to Denver, too.

Huge difference in trade value. 3rd overall is 2200. 29th is worth 640.

If the Steelers are interested in the 2nd round pick - I'd be more interested.

I personally think that Pittsburgh ownership and FO could care less about the outside noise, and know they have a good coach and a good team.

The results speak for themselves.

I wish I could complain about losing a playoff game after yet another winning season.

Lenn, if you and I owned the team we would be open to anything to improve this disaster. But we got the milquetoast John Mara who despite having not endorsing the dynamic duo, was too lazy and put upon to make the tough but correct decision. He would never ever do anything that radical.

If  I may ask--WHY?

Most posters had the same answer as you but in my eyes, one hell of a coach is worth more than a high draft pick. Tomlin may be one of the top 3 HCs today and in my eyes, that is wth more than any draft pick who may or may not be good.

I know it will never happen, but I would really like to know why all said no?

Lenn: What do you think of my approach (posted somewhere above). My first thought was "no way" because a player like LT (for example) can really change things fast, and a really high pick is where you get guys like Lawrence Taylor.

But I tried to come up with a "middle ground" because I (like you) think a whole lot of Tomlin.

So it occurred to me that if the two best players (non-QB) in the draft are taken one-two, that could be a trigger that might cause the Giants to consider offering Pick Three to the Steelers in exchange for their excellent head coach (assuming he would come to their IMO "questionable" organization lol).
