Big-time loss. ne was one of a kind.

In most of my years of umpiring, I used that line on pitches that were way out of the 'strike zone
'Just a bit outside' is a classic

Hope he joins several other great announcers up in heaven.

He will be missed. May he RIP

I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.

He was great up until the end; unlike most of us, Mr. Baseball retained his fastball in his 90s....

RIP Bob.  In the film clip, his sidekick is Skip Greparis.  Funny stand up comic and has an incredible 4 octave voice.  Never really made it in comedy, music or film.  Got to know him a bit when I worked at Lewis Univ. in ILL.  He's a Lewis grad.
Author of: Potomac, Knightime, Conspiracy of Terror, Rogue State, The Neutrality Imperative, Joey Jupiter - Super Sleuth [childrens books], Vigilance and Virtue, Peaceful Warrior, more.

RIP, Bob U. Got to know and like you through your Lite Beer commercials which were always a blast.

Another legendary voice has gone to the heavens and we're the lesser for it.

Rest in peace, Bob.

"Dave Jennings was one of the all-time great Giants. He was a valued member of the Giants family for more than 30 years as a player and a broadcaster, and we were thrilled to include him in our Ring of Honor. We will miss him dearly." (John Mara)

Loved him. Sad that his beloved Brewers never won it all for his tenure. Remarkable wit and class. God bless him. RIP.

He actually won a World Series ring as a player with the Cardinals.

As a brewer fan this summer will be way different. He was awesome. one of his classics was he said when he signed with the braves they took him to one of the finest restaurants in Milwaukee. My dad got so excited he knocked the tray off the window.  His last call was after the crew blew the lead to the mets. "that had some sting to it." indeed it did.

50 + years of Brewers Baseball and Ueck made the 20 quality baseball years great and he made the 30 years of poor baseball enjoyable.

More than Selig himself Ueck was Brewer Baseball.

I truly loved listening to Ueck call a game while fishing out on the water

I loved Bob Ueker, and he will be missed...may he RIP. I just watched his Baseball Hall of Fame induction speech and my sides still hurt from laughing. He could rival Bob Newhart for deadpan standup comedy. What a great guy. Anyone who loves baseball and liked Bob Ueker needs to take the time to listen to this speech. And the young people, who don't remember him, can get an idea of who he was and what he was like, and why he was so beloved. Phenomenal speech

The fact that Keith Richards has outlived Richard Simmons, sure makes me question this whole, "healthy eating and exercise" thing
