"You look for accuracy," Daboll said, via the Bergen Record. "It's leadership; it's accuracy."

"You watch all the games," Daboll said. "It's not a cut-up of games where you're looking at whether it's targets or run blocks, you're watching everything and seeing how they respond. How do they respond in two-minute situations? How they respond after an interception? What's the playbook like after a few bad plays or a few incompletions?

"Again, there's no exact science in it. It's obvious that there isn't. You do the best job you can."

"I love doing it. I love evaluating quarterbacks; I love meeting with the quarterbacks," he said. "It's an awesome position to work with and it's a really fun position to evaluate."

Were you looking for something more profound? Seems like you just like taking digs at him because you don't like him. Does the way he breathe bother you too?

"We're going to build this thing the right way... I'm not going to do a Hail Mary for self preservation. We've got a plan in place and we're going to stick with that"

Well, now that you mention it...

There are many aspects to consider in a QB

arm strength
accuracy
touch
anticipation
the ability to layer
work ethic
resilience
pocket awareness
processing speed
pocket movement
running ability
size
durability
on field judgement (ie interceptions)

The fact that Dabs singled out two has some value.  I am not pretending that Dabs just gave away the secret sauce, but I will admit to being surprised if the QBs the Giants acquire have accuracy issues.

I was looking for more from our so called QB "guru". Something like, I'm looking for a QB that can make sound decisions, make the reads, have pocket presence, make plays when the play breaks down. An aggressive QB that protects the ball.
I'll tell you what QB is going to be very accurate if he keeps telling Robinson to keep running those 2-3 yard routes.

To use your response, "What coach doesn't look for those aspects from a QB."

I know, he's the coach that could do no right.

The regular season is over. There seems to be no end to the bitching season.  :surrender:

Sounds like he is talking about Sanders 😉
Ain't nothing to it but to do it!

There's no incentive for giving away everything he looks for in a qb, zero whatsoever. So im glad he didn't give anything away, as to what he's looking for.

I think the Giants are doomed to pick Sanders with the false hope he can be very good quickly and save Daboll and Schoen. Not happening that scenario in all likelihood and would be a mistake at 3. He's not Prime Time and another example of overvaluing the positíon.

But that's what they will sell to fans. Filling a need instead of the best value.

If a QB is accurate then his mechanics are right, which means alot of what he does is fundamentally correct.
