My Mock Draft 1.0

Post Senior Bowl edition

1. Titans QB, T, ED, CB
All the buzz Is that right now QB Cam Ward is who the Titans covet and that's who I have them taking here for now.

2. Bowns QB, RB, T, CB
Miles Garrett wanting to leave makes this easy, you take ED Abdul Carter to either pair with him or be his replacement

3. Giants QB, T, DB
I know everyone wants a Qb but I am not doing trades yet, so we take Travis Hunter who steps in as CB1 and WR2.

4. Patriots RB, WR, G, T
I thought about a WR here but I expect the patriots to grab a wr in free agency and Vrabel to start his tenure with the line and grab DL Mason Graham to anchor his Defense

5. Jaguars C, G, DL, CB
Jags need a little bit of everything but I have them grabbing CB Will Johnson to bookend with Tyson Campbell.

6. Raiders QB, RB, WR, CB
This is where QB Sheddur Sanders finally falls as the Raiders with their new ownership and money grab their guy of the future

7. Jets QB, DL, DB
The Jets make the first Shock move taking QB Jaxson Dart to takeover the franchise. After the senior bowl all I've heard is Dart will go top 10 and here he does.

8. Panthers DL, DB
The Panthers could grab a multitude of Edge guys right here but I have them going production over traits with ED James Pearce Jr

9. Saints WR, TE, DL
Is it Carr, or is it Rattler? Either way Olave keeps getting injured, so WR Tetairoa McMillan to pair with Olave for Kellen Moore

10. Bears RB, C, G, ED
Was close to going Jeanty here but they have got to protect the franchise so I have them taking Will Campbell T/G

11. 49ers G, T, DL
The 49ers had a ton of injuries but here I have them going Mike green ED to pair with Bosa and start scaring teams again.

12. Cowboys RB, WR, T, ED
The cowboys could do a very boys thing and take Jeanty but they need a weapon but Burden and Egbuka play the slot that Lamb plays so I have them taking TE Tyler Warren and getting their new Witten

13. Dolphins G, T, DL, S
The Dolphins need a ton of help on the oline so it's between Starks and Booker but here I go Tyler Booker G to protect Tua.

14. Colts TE, ED, DB
The Colts could go CB here but I think getting Richardson a weapon/security blanket is key so I have TE Colston Loveland here.

15. Falcons WR, ED, LB, CB
The Falcons always need Dline help especially Edge, so I go Shemar Stewart ED, I am not high on him but everyone raves about his traits even though he has no production. His teammate Nic Scourton could be the pick here.

16. Cardinals G, T, DL
The Cardinals couldn't generate pressure to save themselves last season so I go Jalon Walker ED who I have rated a little lower than most.

17. Bengals WR, G, DL
The Bengals get a new/better version of Geno Atkins in DT Walter Nolen. Wr was an option depending on the Tee Higgins situation.

18. Seahawks C, G, ED, LB
The other Georgia Edge Mykel Williams goes here with the Seahawks adding to that Dline with their D focused HC.

19. Buccaneers ED, LB, DB
The bucs Lavonte David is 34 so I have them taking Jihaad Campbell MLB/ED to pair next to KJ Britt for the future.

20. Broncos WR, TE, LB, S
I went with WR Luther Burden here to give Nix some help as he goes into his sophomore season.

21. Steelers QB, WR, DB
The Steelers have to get some offensive fire power opposite Pickens, here they grab WR Emeka Egbuka.

22. Chargers RB, WR, TE, ED
I know RB Ashton Jeanty is an elite RB, but everything I am hearing is that scouts love up to 12 Rbs that they think can be starters. Pairing Jeanty with Herbert and that Oline is a very Harbaugh thing to do.

23. Green Bay WR, C, ED, CB
Green Bay is the home of WR injuries and here they need a weapon. I have them taking WR Matthew Golden.

24. VIkings RB, G, DL, CB
The Vikings are elite at Wr and now they get an elite receiving RB Treveyon Henderson.

25. Texans WR, C, G, DL
Tank Dell is a walking injury and Diggs is likely gone, so I have them grabbing WR Tre Harris to replace him.

26. Rams TE, T, LB, CB
Was going to go Ben Morrison here but there are some serious concerns about his legs, so I am going CB Trey Amos instead.

27. Ravens WR, T, ED, CB
The Ravens likely lose Ronnie Stanely and T/G Kelvin Banks falls into their lap.

28. Lions C, G, ED, LB
After a great senior bowl G/C Grey Zabel shoots into the end of the 1st round.

29. Commanders WR, T, ED, CB
The Commanders need to protect their future, and since there was a run on WRs they select T Armand Membou.

30. Bills WR, DL, LB, CB
The Wrs are gone so the Bills focus om the dline and grab DT Kenneth Grant. Jahdae Barron was an option here.

31. Eagles WR, G, ED, CB
The Eagles reload their Dline with ED Princely Umanmielen.

32. Chiefs T, DL, LB
The Chiefs need help on the oline, and they get it in the form of T Josh Simmons.

Best Remaining:
Malachi Starks S
Shavon Revel CB
Xavier Watts S
Jahdae Barron S/CB
Donovan Jackson G
Nick Emmawori S
Derrick Harmon DT
Omarion Hampton RB
Josh Conerly T
Jack Sawyer Ed

Interesting, to say the very least.

Better to be lucky than good? Kelvin Banks Jr. to the Ravens? Why can't the Giants have that kind of luck?

It's just a mock draft, but my jaw has dropped to the floor on that one!

Peace!

Nicely done.  Maybe you should try to lay claim to Mel Kiper's paycheck!  lol

Of the 'best remaining' guys, then, who do you take at Pick 34?

Or do you trade up one spot and get your choice of anyone on the "best remaining" list?

Bob
If Jeff Hostetler could do it, Daniel Jones can do it !!!

I think you'd have to go Barron or Starks to pair with Nubin and go with Hunter, otherwise you are happy that Conerly fell in your lap and plug him into RT and let Eleumenor play guard.

It is very much a Ravens pick though like having Kyle Hamilton fall in their lap.

Later on adding in trades will make a huge difference though because I don't believe the Giants walk away day 1 without a qb but I'm not sold on them picking that guy at 3. I think Sanders is a JJ Mccarthy level smoke screen at this point.

Precisely along the lines of what I'm thinking. Actually, I had Tyler Linderbaum in mind, but you get the picture.

A month and a half ago, the draftniks had Banks Jr. going in the top 10. Then, he suffered a high ankle sprain which caused him to miss the Texas-Georgia game. From that point on, his stock appeared to have dropped. So, if he ends up dropping into the bottom third of the first round, be it the Ravens, or anyone there smart enough to snatch him up, is going to capture outstanding value for their pick.

If the Ravens somehow get him, I'm coming on this board and exalting praises in your name, as well as continue to reaffirm the BrainTrust of the Ravens' scouting leadership as the best in the league for capturing additional value for the picks they are dealt, year after year, in the draft.

Peace!

My sixth sense practically tells me this is the case.

I really like TreVeon Henderson as he is a true modern NFL run/pass catch RB however I think his injury history may keep him out of round 1.

Nice job Jess.

Jess
Fantastic job as always!  Much appreciated!

Unless something weird happens. Or there is an injury, there is absolutely no chance Sanders lasts until 7 and absolutely no chance if he is there at 3 the Giants don't take him. And if the Giants don't take a QB in round one or get extremely lucky with a QB in a later round or as a bridge, it's sayonara to Schoen and Daboll.

Everything is far from guaranteed, especially in this draft.

From everything I have been hearing the scouting community is really souring on Sanders. He wasn't able to elevate his teams with elite Wrs in a conference were defense is nonexistent. Couple that with Deion, questions about him holding the ball, taking too many sacks, and being gun shy. There are serious concerns about him and all the mock drafts I have seen coming out of the senior bowl don't have Sanders going until 6/7. That's also because like me they aren't doing trades right now which may change things, but some scouts don't even have Sanders as QB2 anymore.

Also Sanders just happens to be the complete opposite of what Daboll looks for in a QB. Look at his guys the past few years, ala Hurts/Allen, he likes mobile Qbs with a cannon that aren't gun shy and willing to go deep. Daboll loves to go deep to setup the short/intermediate but couldn't do that with Jones. You saw flashes of it with Tyrod, but none of that says Sanders, Ward yes, Dart Yes, but Sanders is the opposite of that. He's what most would call the modern Game manager.

The Giants are taking either Ward or Sanders unless they are blocked from that by Cleveland and Tennessee taking them. Their jobs are on the line.

I've heard the opposite.
