As of this moment, the subject url=https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/] reports a consensus of 140 Mocks for the Giants No. 3 overall pick as:

Shedeur Sanders 37.7%   Cam Ward 32.2%   Travis Hunter 13.5%   Other 15.6%

Personally, I don't see Jaxson Dart adding much weight to "Other" category.

Cheers!

I bet that other is a lot of Abdul Carter

Jolly Blue Giant

Other(s) is/are probably Carter or Graham...maybe one of the two top OTs (Campbell or Banks) or "trade down"  :-??
The fact that Keith Richards has outlived Richard Simmons, sure makes me question this whole, "healthy eating and exercise" thing

I think so too, and so combined with the Travis Hunter numbers, it increases the chances of Ward or Sanders being available at 3. And now with the recent surge of interest in Dart perhaps making it less likely that he will be available at 34 or even with a modest trade-up, the 3 pick will be key if a QB1 is their target.

Cheers!

The Giants want Sanders or Ward. Any interest in Dart is a smokescreen.

Source?

Seems speculative, at best

I don't see how or why Schoen/Daboll would benefit from or feel a need to create a smokescreen around Dart. It seems to me like media coaxing in what it views as a less than compelling QB Draft. Quien sabe?

Cheers!

If the Giants are interested in drafting a QB, the natural strategy would be to sign a veteran QB.  Rave about the signing.  Talk about how elite non-QB prospects like Hunter and Carter are.  Talk about how there is an abundance of QBs that should be available day two and how so many of them have franchise QB potential.

Obviously, there would be no benefit of pumping up a first-round QB prospect that they were interested in drafting.   On the other hand, as we saw last year, NYG will create an impression of strong interest in QBs they don't intend to draft.  There is some limited value in that approach as it marginally protects other prospects they have an interest in, and potentially might generate a trade offer.

The smoke screen is Dart's agents. Schoens and Daboll are going through the motions.

What does any of that that have to do with a Dart smokescreen? By the Giants specifically. You guys sound more like media than attentive Giants fans.

Cheers!

By now you guys should know that every single tidbit of info about what the team wants or doesn't want is a smokescreen...a red herring...a ruse...a bait and switch...subterfuge, etc

It's lying season...trust no rumor or "inside information" from any source

The only thing I believe (and not for the Giants) is that Sanders, Ward, Carter, Hunter, Graham, and Campbell will be taken in the first round, and certainly not in that order nor necessarily even in the top ten

There is a big difference between "blowing smoke" and being "smoke-riddled" Ne c'est pas?
