How would you feel if the first round played out like this?

1. New York Giants
Cam Ward, QB, Miami

TRADE:
NYG receives: 1.1, 2026 5th
TEN receives: 1.3, 3.65, 2026 1st, 2026 3rd

The Giants make the aggressive trade-up. Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll can't risk leaving this draft without their franchise quarterback. Cam Ward possesses the arm talent, size, and off-script ability required to be the first quarterback selected.

I guess if they believe in him that much, and have that much conviction in him, and it isnt just desperation. I am fine with it as long as they sign a vet that can play to start the year.

I'd rather they trade up for Ward than Sanders, if push comes to shove. I'd still rather take Dart at 3

T200

I would not like it.

Time and productivity would eventually tell if it was a good move or not. The better Ward plays, the better the move looks. If Ward doesn't work out, we probably don't sniff the playoffs for another 10-20 years.

Not Today kind sir

Fortunately I don't think the Titans go for it but that would be stupid.

ABSOLUTELY NOT. There is no "Andrew Luck" in this draft. Anyway, with the forever present winds of change blowing, I'm looking at Dart, possibly after a small trade back(watch out for the jets).

Thats not the only such trade up I've seen proposed such as one giving Jacksonville their 2nd- and 3rd-round picks in 2025 plus a 2026 2nd-rounder to move up from No. 3.

I reckon they'll do what they feel they must, but I'm hoping a trade is not it.

Cheers!

I'd hate it until Ward becomes an actual franchise QB, then I'd love it.   =))

Pretty much this, and like PSU I'm willing to admit it.

I like Ward's quick release . But I just can't dismiss the 3rd Round grade (75-150) he received from the NFL in the conditional Draft of last year. I know a player can improve but that much in one year?

We can't afford to give up draft picks, especially a #1 next year. For a guy who most rate middling at best.

I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.

Hi Rich @MightyGiants . I think you said you were taking your ball and leaving as you stated you couldn't deal with the gross incompetence anymore.

I think I said "lead the way" and I'll join you. Trading up in Round One is the wrong answer even before the question is asked.

Peace!

Rich. I saw this in the morning. When I read it at first, I was thinking Hell no.....5 hours later...nothing's changed. I don't mind if we did not get a QB in the 1st this year. If one fell to us at pick 3, and Joe took one...fine, but trading up? NO
