How would Cooper Kupp look in Giants Blue

I know he is 'old' and has been injured lately, but I think he could be a great addition to a Giants team in need of leadership and a great receiver for any new QB. I look back on some of the great NE teams and how they made their offense work, they had quick, sure-handed receivers like Welker, Edelman and Amendola, all, sort of 'older' guys who jus t specialized in getting open for their QB's.
Personally, I think a guy like Kupp would help Nabors out a great deal and be a great veteran influence on the offense.
I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.

Cooper Kupp is primarily a slot WR.  The Giants already have a starting slot WR in Wondale Robinson.  Robinson is too small to play outside.  Kupp has played some outside receiver, but would signing the 32-year-old to play outside receiver really give the team its money's worth?
SMART, TOUGH, DEPENDABLE

Personally, I would rather have Kupp than Robinson.

Rich,

I've been real frustrated with WanDale always catching the ball short of the marker. It's been so notice and he hasn't improved in this area.

I'd love to replace him with Kupp

He's simply running the route he's given, plus Jones never threw the ball beyond the sticks.

Wandale Robinson 700 yards 2 million dollars a year

Cooper kupp 700 27 million dollars a year

It's not even a conversation in my opinion. Why trade for kupp when you can just sign Tee Higgins in FA if you are wanting to pay 20 million plus a year, or if you do want them to trade then trade for deebo Samuel who asked for a trade. A lot better options than kupp.

My opinion - paying extra to sign aging players in the twilight of their career is a luxury better teams can do to tweak their roster. I feel bad teams (ie: Giants), should be using their cap space to build their roster with younger talent first. Unfortunately until they start drafting better they will continue to dwell in the cellar.

Speaking of Robinson, I know it frustrates the hell out of us when a third down reception comes up short, but are we being to hard on him for this when nearly 40% of his total receptions, and 50% of his 3rd down receptions, last season resulted in a first down? Truthfully I don't know what an acceptable percentage should be for a slot receiver, so this is an honest question.

No QB to throw him the ball.  Why sign a blue chip expensive WR with no QB?

old, expensive, declining, and injury prone, plus draft capital?

Hard pass

Say what you will, I beleive he would come a whole lot cheaper than this $20Mil and he would be a great presence in the Locker Room.
Again, look what guys like Welker and Edelman and Amendola did for the Pats and brady. All were older receivers when they got there and all knew how to run routes and get open, all the time. They all were smart, knew where t he sticks were. What has Robinson done to even deserve to be on our roster.
I'm tired of watching these guys, who basically can't play the game well, still be here when we can improve our roster. Kupp would not be a luxury but a necessity some one to help out whoever is QBing this team next year.
Yes he is older, but that brings something extra, he knows how to win.

Those guys came in after Brady was established and they were winning super bowls.

They were already a contender, this type of move is what a contender does.

If we had a QB and few more pieces and were a few pieces away, I'd be more open to it, but he is is a steep decline that will only continue.

I don't agree with this. I gotta believe those many times where he catches it AT or just BEFORE the marker, the intent was to be past it. At least most of the time??...problem with WanDale is like over 90% by the naked eye he is always short of it and has to fight for the 1st down

As I mentioned before, he converted 50% of his 3rd down receptions into 1st downs. What is the league-wide average for slot receivers? Is he below, at, or above that number? I don't know of a easy way to mine that statistic.
