I won't say the answer, because after racking my brain and being unable to get it, I looked it up.

Will be curious to see if anyone can get it. I'll say no more than that.

Ha Ha no clue so I looked it up and still couldn't find it.

What a question?

My first thought was Dave Winfield, as I know he was drafted in three different sports...and wisely chose baseball. But then I thought, he probably wasn't a first round draft pick in the NFL  ~X(

Then I thought of Bo Jackson, but I don't remember him playing basketball at all...dittos with Dion Sanders

Those are my best guesses, but truth is, I don't know
The fact that Keith Richards has outlived Richard Simmons, sure makes me question this whole, "healthy eating and exercise" thing

Painter

I know who but would have never guessed it.

Thanks everyone for your input.

The answer....Jimmy Walker of Providence College.

First player selected in the 1967 NBA draft by the Detroit Pistons.  Also first player taken in the inaugural ABA draft by the Indiana Pacers.

Walker was the last player selected in the NFL draft of 1967 by the expansion New Orleans Saints.  He did not play football in college.  The reason they drafted him, and this is my opinion only, Walker was 6'3" and weighed 195 at the time.  This was a time when some NFL teams, especially the Cowboys, made selections based on projections based on a players physical attributes.

Walker was catlike quick and changed directions smoothly which I am guessing would make him a good candidate for CB.  He never reported to the Saints and instead played in the NBA for 9 years.  In his heyday he was a 2 time AllStar but weight gain started nullyfing his quickness advantage and accounted for the shortness of his basketball career.
