New cap announced

I will confess, I have read a lot of articles written by people who truly don't understand the salary cap.   They fail to appreciate that the extra $5 million over the expected cap applies to ALL TEAMS and not just the Giants.

The reality is the only teams that gain a slight advantage by the added windfall are teams that are over the cap or up against the cap.  The increase helps to slightly diminish all the expensive contracts and the impact of dead money if your team has a healthy surplus (like the Giants), the impact from this bump is minimal at best.
