NFT I just learned the fate of our HOF member Jamie

I am sorry to say that our friend and fellow poster, Jamie, passed away sometime last April (per the condolence messages on his Facebook Page).

He stopped posting on the forum back in December of 2023 as his health was declining (he had chronic health issues).  I would speak to him every couple of months via phone, and I knew over the spring of last year, his health declined.  At some point in the spring, his phone no longer worked.  I was concerned and figured he either was placed in a care facility, or worse, I feared he had passed.  I searched for an obituary but couldn't find one.

Ed was thinking of him yesterday and decided to visit his Facebook page. He saw Rest in Peace messages posted on his page from back in April.  Jamie was a good man, a friend, and a great Giants fan.  Even not knowing his fate, I missed his commentaries and our calls.  Rest in peace, my friend.

Jaime was a good man. Linda and I drove him up to Albany one year, and I have a couple of pics to share. His father was a long-time Season Ticket Holder, who wrote Wellington Mara many times, in the good and the bad. Jaime suffered with Multiple Sclerosis for many years, but it didn't stop him from making the most out of life. His motto was "Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained".

He was a WR in High School, and a good one, as I understand it, He grew up in the Wayne, NJ, area. He would call or text me before or during most every game. Jaime came over to us with JimV from Pat Traina's Message Board when she took it down and asked if we could give her folks a good home. It's a shame that his family didn't post an Obituary or a FB notification. So we'll honor him here...

Godspeed and RIP, Jaime.

I had noticed that Jamie hadn't been around in a while. So sad. He was a great guy, always upbeat. RIP Jamie.

His posts were ALWAYS full of life and spirit, whether they be Giants or Rangers related.

We are lesser because his life journey has completed. His memory will continue to inspire us all.

May he now be in good company with our Giants family gone before us.

8 kind of knew this as well as Rich said. I can say I was a very çlose friend but he was on my email list and when I sent out jokes or whatever he always replied with a laugh. When he stopped responding I kinda knew something was off. But it is still hard losing another friend.

Just to share a personal story. When the Giant moved training camp from Albany and to the Meadowlands several of us went to camp. It was very hot and very little shade. Myself and Jamie sat in this so called 'cooling tent' where they had several young ladies offering cold drinks and a sort of misting to cool you off. After that it became a running joke between us, the cooling tent.
I will truly miss him.
