They signed a DE/DT in Golson and DT Roy-Robertson-Harris, that's the depth now.

Plus, I predict they'll be drafting a DT by the end of day 2.

I bet Toomer gets the cold shoulder at the stadium moving forward.

Still confused why people aren't over the moon with this signing. If him and Mckinney were both FA they get the same money, and a year later we get him for 23 million less than Mckinney.

Jess,

He had a bit of a down year, last season.  I suspect that might be what is dampening enthusiasm.

The NYG defensive secondary looks much improved over last season, at least on paper.

I get that completely but so did Mckinney in 2022. I think the reason for his dip was the change in DC to fangio. Safeties flash in Bowens defense, so I could easily go back to his top 5 ways immediately. I mean guy is one season removed from a 90 pff grade which is bonkers, and confuses me as to why there isn't more excitement for him and adebo.

Just looked up why Holland had a down year and he played injured most of the year.

Finding it hard to be excited about defensive players given the state of the offense.  If at some point it looks like this team can score more than 15 pts/game I will probably be more optimistic

Will this guy help against the run? Our run D has been an utter sieve for years now. No defense that is as inept as we are against the run can be a bona fide good D.

"Holland didn't enjoy his best season in 2024, but he's still going to be one of the most highly coveted defensive players available, especially considering he's only turning 25 years old in March. A versatile back-end weapon who's always been stout against the run, Holland has a lot to offer in an NFL that is trending back to the ground game. It's time for this safety to test the market."
