Head scratcher. You aren't going to have studs as backups but he was awful last year. I don't know why Schoen even bothered. He isn't an upgrade over our depth last year.

Pretty much exactly what I thought. Why do we even bother with these kinds of transactions? What's the point?

Hopefully as depth because he was solid if very average this past season.

The line when completely healthy actually was pretty good

Still would like a new starter , but Joe is finally getting us some depth ....

Being asked to make chicken salad out of chicken poop has been a popular metaphor over the decade when it comes to the NY Giants.  When I posted my comment, I figured someone might appreciate the clever turn of phrase.  I didn't think someone would take the light-hearted twist the metaphor literally.
