Just curious

Is there 12 guys on D because it's OTA's

Dan
The 3 biggest takeaways from OTAs today Dan was that Dart is getting some 1s reps, Kafka is calling plays, and Abdul is Infact taking MLB reps on early downs, and pass rushing on passing downs.

I think that tells you all you need to know about how they feel about Neal. If you are going to let him try guard, try RG were he could actually make a difference if he is good.

I love them moving Mbow around, i see Jim as the 6th man on this line, or first up at a multiple positions.

It doesn't sound like Daboll has a lot of optimism.

Q: It's been reported that Evan Neal is converting to guard. He played that position, albeit on the left side, in college. How much of a learning curve is there now at this level plus playing on the right side for him?

Daboll: Evan's a smart guy. He'll be out here today. We will work him at guard and I know he's excited about the opportunity he has.

Q: What do you see in his skillset that can translate to an inside position?

Daboll: Yeah, look, he's a big man. He's got length, he's obviously a little bit taller than I'd say traditional guards, but he's played it. He's played a number of positions since he's been at University of Alabama.

He's been working hard this last month and a half and look forward to getting him out there.

Dart has touch too. He can make power throws..oh geeze not like Josh Allen or Mahomes .Herbert..etc..but he doesnt have to all the time..

He has confidence and moxie based on what I've seen. And can move successfully. Off platform throws are the specialty of Hall of Famers. Not hyping him..but he has the ability to be an effective QB..wow would that be agreeable?

Belton, McFadden, and Nubin with picks today and the defense seems to have a booty chest, or pirate chest to put turnovers in.

Also Thibs has a tuck esq mask now and Burns spida visor is really cool. I didn't see one picture of Carter today or Skattebo. They just released the odds and Carter is the favorite for DROY.

Hyatt running with the 1s all day. Now is his time to take advantage. I think they should move him to the slot.

I'm sorry to be the downer amongst all the optimism, but the OL - top to bottom - is a train wreck.

Even with AT in there, there are still questions on 3 out of 5 starters. And none of the backups do anything for me. Mbow could be something, but I don't expect anything out of him this year. And I know some have hopes for Kubas, but right now he's a JAG.

Biggest failure of the draft was to not add starting-worthy talent to the worst position group on the team.

MrGap92

Seems like like people forgot before the injuries hit this was a top 10 OL last year. And now we have a bit of depth with Mbow and Hudson

The value wasn't there in the 3rd or 4th and the best FAs had huge problems, Fries the Colts guard got crazy money from the Vikings with a broken leg. Eluemunor can play LT and Mbow could fill any other position if we have injuries. We are in a significantly better place with the line today than we were even last year. I wouldn't take a reach at tackle or guard over Alexander or over Skattebo.
