SMART, TOUGH, DEPENDABLE

Ed Vette

"There is a greater purpose...that purpose is team. Winning, losing, playing hard, playing well, doing it for each other, winning the right way, winning the right way is a very important thing to me... Championships are won by teams who love one another, who respect one another, and play for and support one another."
~ Coach Tom Coughlin

I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.

Never want to see anyone go down this early in the off season.

I feel for Colts fans.

Supposedly DJ has turned into a new guy in Indy, he was out at bars partying with the fan base and getting to know them multiple weekends in a row.

Can't wait to see Daniel Jones and Steichen working together.

If he doesnt win this job, his career as a starter is over. Lucky for him Richardson is worse thn he is. You can have a laser arm, be 235 pounds, 6'5, run 4.4 if you cant read defenses and throw into tight windows or with anticipation you have really nothing to offer. Throw on top not being a hard worker. This qb room is worse than ours was last year. I am not even kidding Drew Lock> AR.

I dont know about you guys, but I would love to see Jones tear it up next year. I know its not likely. But I would just love it.

I like Jones on a personal level so I'd be happy for him, but I am personally much too focused on current Giants to be that emotionally vested in former Giants.

Really? I find that interesting. I still follow the Giants non stop. But when it's as bad as it was last year and the year before I tend to get excited to watch other games if it's a big qb matchup or some big rivalry. I always put the Giants first and will always watch their games front to back. But I do find myself getting into other league storylines and being interested in players or matchups that don't interfere with the Giants time slot. I think it's possible to watch a lot of football besides the Giants. I don't think thats being emotionally vested in any way. It's just routine interest.

I watch tons of football besides the Giants. I follow the rest of the league very closely, actually. I'm just not all that emotionally invested in non-Giant players the way I am with the players on the Giants. I love the sport itself, and I watch it all the time. Both college and pro. There are some players I like more than others. For example, I'd be happy to see Josh Allen win a Super Bowl (assuming we're not the opponent in that game). But it's the game itself that makes me watch other teams besides the Giants play. Not so much a focus on individual players, whether they're former Giants or not.

What if Daniel Jones has a Sam Darnold year with the Colts ? What would that say about Brian Daboll and Shawn Tierney ? ( Sorry for the spelling )

It wouldn't be a great look, but as far as Giants ownership goes, I believe Daboll will be judged by how the Giants do this year and by how Dart appears to be developing. Not by what Jones does for another team.

Personally, I am hoping Daniel Jones does well with the Colts, and I wish him the best.

I wish DJ well. He's a quality guy..no doubt. If he has success...terrific. but that was never to be with Giants.

If they have given him some of shock therapy...where you forget everything..the unspotted mind movie...thing..but it's hard too hard to imagine.
