They are just setting us up. Look between the lines of what has been going on with Russ over the years. It's been one disaster after another. He is just another year older, with a worse roster than his last 3 stops.
I am the biggest Giants fan there is. But I find this whole thing absurd. Last time I check 3 out of the four dudes on that panel receive paychecks from the Giants. So as far as I am concerned that is an informercial!

We've had a decade of futility. Like it or not Jones manned 70 games of almost entirely futile QB play. From numbers, to general panic, to big plays - all generally futile. All the regime would have to say would be that he worked hard or was "locked in". Wow wee, that's the absolute minimum. Especially for a guy who originally wanted close to 50mil a year.

We know how that show went. Nobody is burying Jones. He's play did that.

Now, there's almost a unanimous feel good factor around the QB room and you want to pick fault in that? Fair enough but I don't see the issue.

The big difference is that Wilson's worst year is comparable to Jones' best year. So at his worst, we are getting Jones 2022 production.

I am pretty familiar with the Giants' old-school PR techniques (that include threatening people covering the team if they print or say unflattering things).  That said, from everything I have read and heard, it appears the leadership that Russell Wilson has demonstrated has been real.  Most of the positive things have been said by his fellow players, and the detail and often unsolicited nature of the comments make it hard to believe this is all just propaganda from the Giants' PR department.  They are not that good.
