Quote from: uconnjack8 on Today at 01:30:58 PMNo, just me being a jackass. The race is at Saratoga this year because Belmont is under construction. The race is going to be 10 furlongs, not the usual 12 furlongs (which is what Secretariat ran).
Quote from: Jclayton92 on May 22, 2024, 09:03:44 PMDevito played in the ACC and the Big10 conference, if he was a better qb he would have been drafted. After the 2022 draft teams were trying to find their Brock Purdy considering 66 qbs started in 2023 its understandable. Given all that Devito still wasn't drafted while 14 qbs were. If he had undeniable talent, he would have been found. We signed a guy from west Florida University, if there's talent they are found.
FYI Illinois and Syracuse aren't small programs, he had an opportunity most don't get so I have no sympathy.
Quote from: uconnjack8 on Today at 01:24:36 PMFlightline is a son of Tapit. Tapit is a son of Pulpit who is a son of AP Indy. AP Indy sire was Seattle Slew and and Dam Sire was Secretariat. Tapit has produced a number of successful offspring.
Pretty good genetics to have Seattle Slew as your dad and Secretariat as the grandfather on your mother's side.
Quote from: ViewFromSection129 on Today at 11:59:18 AMI'm surprised with some of the takes on here. I thought the Rangers last night were atrocious. No pressure, no physicality. Florida hit every Ranger, every time they could. Other than Cuylle a few times, I remember very few Ranger hits. You can't dump it in the offensive zone and expect to retrieve the puck without playing the body hard. And their passing to get out of the defensive zone was poor.
This team has been league average at 5v5, and unless they get a decent amount of PPs or Igor steals a game, they look very pedestrian against top teams. They have now been outshot in 8 straight games.
I said all along I wanted Boston instead of Florida. And unless the Rangers change and up their game quickly, this one is going six at best.
