There's no doubt Florida is a very tough opponent. They might very well be the better team. That doesn't mean the Rangers cannot beat them. Frankly, the Rangers were in exhibition game mode last night. You saw it early and often with some of their passes to absolutely nobody.

While rest is good you kind of hated the long layoff after the big emotional clinching win over Carolina. I would've preferred hitting the ice again a couple of days later.

I think you're right, it is what he is mumbling about. Even so, it is still no more than an exercise in woulda, coulda, shoulda in which he doesn't like the handwriting even though it's much the same as it was at this time, last year. Perhaps, he feel that he and not Drew should be the "Lock" at QB2

Daboll probably should call plays this year. Three reasons for that:

(1) He obviously had some problems with his DC last year. If he's more involved with the offense this year and gives the DC some breathing room to run his unit how he wants to, that will make it less likely that there is another issue.

(2) Daboll's job could be on the line this year. I think it would be a bit extreme to fire the 2022 NFL Head Coach Of the Year in 2024, but it's not impossible. If I'm Daboll, I'm focusing on my main strengths this year, which are designing and implementing an offense.

(3) Kafka has, in two seasons, displayed no clear evidence that he is particularly good in the OC role.

Drew Lock hit him on the deep shot. He got behind both Pinnick & Flott. Just a glimpse into what #NYG hope Nabers can bring.

Of note: There was pressure on the play. Lock might have been sacked, but it's a padless OTA, so give him the TD.

Of extra note: That was really the only highlight for Lock. He did not perform well in team drills. I had him 10 of 20 with several misfires.
