I started in the right field mezzanine of Yankee Stadium in the early 60's, survived the Yale Bowl, and made it to the old Meadowlands.

Late night TV games, PSLs, horrible traffic and overpriced tickets have managed to drive me away.

One a year, I will pay the price for a single game, a Sunday at 1PM in October, and enjoy football the way it was supposed to be enjoyed.

The traffic and parking still stinks, but... occasionally I feel the need.

Sounds good to me, I sort of like the the same plan 1 (or 2 ) live games a season.

Ceri,

I have to think the mobile fast QBs and the rise of faster TEs are going to put a premium on speed.  As such guys that in the past were deemed too light to play MLB in the NFL (at least in the 4-3) will now be what teams are looking for.   After all, teams are shedding large amounts of size when the go into nickle and dime packages.  Having a guy who is at least LB size being able to stay on the field more and is able to run with these freakishly athletic TEs and QBs is going to be a critical requirement.   Guys like Chase Blackburn or Herzlich being able to cut it in the middle of a 4-3 are gone.   At least that's my prediction/belief/opinion

Having read Ceri's write up on Fluker I am less excited about him.   4 sacks is a lot for a guy who should have been tough to get around.

What frustrates me is most of these guys need a year to develop and the Giants line is such a mess that's a luxury they can't afford. ~X(

Reese doesn't draft according to scheme.  Gilbride hardly uses more than 3 WRs yet we draft and sign WRs every year. CB is a huge need and Rhodes is a value at 19. Scheme won't get in the way.  Tackling and technique can be coached, that's their job.  You can't teach speed and size. Reese says this every year.

4.65 in the short shuttle is a huge red flag.  Short shuttle times should be .2 seconds less than their 40 time.   To have a time greater than his 40 time indicates a very stiff athlete with poor change of direction ability.

While Montgomery isn't a first round talent anymore I do believe he's getting underrated.  He spoke his mind about the trying statement.  I highly doubt you'll find many giving their all, risking injury against the lesser teams int he country.  And everyone forgets he says he can't afford to do that anymore in the NFL...

Regardless for the talk about a lack of burst he posted a better 40 time and a 10 yard split than Damontre Moore. Hopefully teams are put off by him so he's available in the 3rd.

Do you see a guy with his speed chasing down RG3 or Kapernick?

I am praying for Hankins in the 2nd. Before the insane Shariff Floyd hype train kicked in, Hankins was raved.  This was after the season too so he had no bad games and he didn't have any dumb off the field moments either. Not only would be stuff the run but he can eat double teams consistently which bodes well for Linval and JPP.

This would be a good pick

Rolle is vastly over paid and Brown is signed for one year.  So next year there could be a big need.  Still with so many more current and pressing needs, not sure the team has the luxury of drafting a safety.
