Rich: Could be. It would help in executing various plans proposed by a few of us here, which involed trading up from Pick 34 into the bottom of the first round for ??? (some say QB, I say any really solid player at a position of need who falls out of the upper middle of the first round into the bottom third. Bob
If Jeff Hostetler could do it, Daniel Jones can do it !!!

Whether they do or they don't, it will have no effect on Our Heroes as the top 3 OTs will be off the board by the time the Giants make their 2nd pick should they actually be targeting an OT there.

Cheers!

It may impact how many QBs fall out of round one, which could impact NYG if they were planning on getting a QB after their pick at 3

I don't know that I've ever watched a more penalized tackle than Penning. The guy seems like a walking flag and not that bright.

On another note, I think Membou could be a top 5 right tackle in this league, so if he fell in their lap that'd be great for them.

I can't believe that with a new hc in Moore they go into the season with Rattler and Haener as their 2 deep at QB.

I am not 100% sold that Derek Carr will be unavailable to them.  Their GM wouldn't provide any information on the issue at his presser today.  He said he hoped to have clarity in the "near future."   It could be a smoke screen.

We all have our opinions, Rich @MightyGiants  . At the end of the day, what will be will be, but my hope, for what it is worth, is that the Giants include at least one offensive lineman who will be as close to ready to start on opening day as possible, and one reserve, as opposed to taking a QB when 2026 is going to present far greater opportunity in both quantity AND quality. Furthermore, with 2025 already accounted for behind center, the Giants can focus more on investing draft capital on making the overall team talent "better" for the long run. Again, in my opinion, that opportunity appears greater than the, as you've mentioned before, "opportunity cost" of taking a QB in this draft when each brings risks to the table as well.

Anyway, I suspect the Giants have their top two picks already on their bullseye with contingency plans in place. Further, I'm also sure, as far as trading down, they've "read the room" in so far as the risks associated with doing so, with respect to other teams, and especially division rivals (e.g. Iggles) playing "last second hopscotch" to foil their plans.

It's been a most interesting dialogue here leading up to tomorrow and I truly hope the Giants do come out having significantly improving their talent base. That's all that matters and we can joke around with who gets to say "I told you so" and all after the fact, even though we're all having fun with this.

Great discussion as always, folks!

Peace!

Taking Dart at 9? The Saints are a mess..and I tend to believe that they won't do that..draft a top lineman makes way more sense.
