Just trying to get a pulse with the new reporting the past 24hrs. What's your feeling?

I think 90% of people would be really excited if there wasn't a trade involved. I just don't know that he'll be there if you don't give up 99.

I don't believe any reporter has a last second scoop on what our Giants are going to do. If something is leaked, it's leaked on purpose to throw other teams off their scent

If Schoen and Daboll are sold on Dart, that's fine with me; however, I just don't believe they have let something like that slip outside the inner circle. We'll know soon. Normally, I'd probably switch channels after the Giants make their pick known, but it's entirely possible they trade back into the first, so I'll stay with the draft show until the last pick is in for the first round tonight
You can never actually lose a homing pigeon - if your homing pigeon does not return, what you've lost is a pigeon

For me, it would depend what they are giving up.  34 and 99? ok.  34 and 105? ok.  34 and 65?  No.

Ric,

Some things are harder to hide than others.  If the Giants want to trade back into round one, they need to reach out to teams in the backend of the draft to work out the basics of a trade (with each team having their own draft value board, pre-negotiations are now critical).  It's hard not to have leaks when you are sharing your intentions with so many other teams (who have no incentive to keep your plans secret)

I'll just be glad when it's over. It's draft overload.

Exactly.  Would not be shocked if part of their meeting is deciding who is going to leak what and to whom.

Schoen: I am going to say we are interested in trading up.
Daboll:  I will go with the trade down.
Mara: I will tell an intern to tell them we want to improve the tranches
Bowen: I will tell them hunter

and so on.

I chose indifferent but I'd be frustrated, just not to the point of throwing the remote.

My belief is that there is no QB in this class (including Cam Ward) worth sacrificing picks to draft. No probable above average future league starter.

I am hoping the Giants are actually being smart with Sanders and Dart by tacitly encouraging speculation hoping that others feel the need to trade above us up into R1 for their QB meaning good players at other positions fall into R2 for us.

I've no problem taking a guy day 2 or 3 when we are on the clock IF they believe in him and they are genuinely in the BPA conversation but we have too many holes to fill to go throwing away picks chasing a tier 2 QB in a C- QB class.
If you live your life as a pessimist you never really live your life at all.

I said it before, and I will repeat.  If the Giants trade back up and grab a QB, it's presumably because they are in a position to grab a QB Daboll believes in.  Seeing how this is draft 4 and they have yet to grab a QB, it's clear their system is particular about who they want behind center.   We might as well fire Daboll, if we don't believe he knows what he wants at QB (which is what this move presumably would be driven by)

How can anyone not be excited over this draft? If they get it right, it can set the franchise on the right track for the next 5 years. Or not...

I agree, if they nail the Dart pick then you set up bookends on each side of the ball for the next decade. Similar to the Texans with Stroud, and Anderson, you'd have Dart who I believe will be a better version of Jalen Hurts with the right team, and an elite edge. Seems like winning the draft to me.

Don't forget Carter or Hunter, and a deep draft at many positions. I would give up a 2026 second to move up.

Throw the remote.  Let the draft come to you.  Do not panic.

I agree, I'd rather give up 2026 2nd and 99 to move up.
