Imagine if the Knicks drafted Shai Gilg Alexander instead of Kevin Knox and Tyrese Haliburton instead of Obi Toppin.

Picked the wrong guys.

We could have picked max crosby over no shame ximenes too. That team was all out of sorts. That was probably our year. I think our coach is good in a way that he gets you credible, but at this level he doesn't belong.Towns impressed me, use the bench more next time. Next year we are all a year older. Lets open up the rotation

It was a good season with obviously a disappointing ending.  Brunson unfortunately picked the worst time to be awful.  Along with KAT that was a killer.  Indiana had 34 points off turnovers smh.

Game one should haunt everyone.

Great points. Crazy to think about that.

Painful second half last night. I knew we'd get a much better showing by the Pacers than we got from them in game 5, but the Knicks also really fell apart in the second half. I'm not saying the Knicks win if they play better, but that was just abysmal and pretty much non-competitive.

Points off turnovers were the big story of this series in my opinion. Massive, massive disparity between the two teams in this metric. Can't win like that.

How about getting back on defense? How about any paint defence? What a,sloppy bunch of misfits. This is not a championship caliber team...sealed their fate with the ridiculous game one meltdown. Epic fail

Reset is needed...a 3D bench player .backup point..and capable rin protector that can score offensively.

Running it back will not work any better.

Have to move contracts to do all that. The Knicks shot their shot in the last offseason. They're very limited now from both a cap room standpoint and a draft capital standpoint.

I doubt they'll make wholesale changes. I'm as frustrated as you are, but going to a game 6 in the conference finals will be regarded as an overachievement and a big step forward for the franchise, given they have not gotten this far in a quarter century. I really doubt you'll see a reset.

Pacers got 34 points from turnovers and killed the Knicks from three.  This is a very sloppy group that doesn't defend well at all.  You're not winning a title with that going on.

As was stated many times game one can't happen.  Nobody loses that game except a team that lets it happen by not hustling or defending.

Brooklyn Dave

No excuses here. The Knicks were beaten by a better team, a younger team and a better coached team.

Lest we forget, the non call against Hart on Hardaway's last second shot could have turned the tide into a Pistons series win.

Changes have to be made but I don't know exactly where. The Bridges trade could haunt the team for years to come . The team that Rose has assembled is built to win now , but obviously this team as constructed cannot.

From reading several posts here, some suggest replacing Thibs, some say trade out major star players here, etc. Have you forgotten the previous 20+ years of Knicks irrelevance cuz they were so bad.

We should be more grateful of their recent upward progress.  Thibs is coaching them hard and they are listening.  They need some minor tweaking.

I have been rooting for the Knicks long enough to never expect anything from that organization but failure. I just know they will find a way to squander an opportunity presented.

No fanbase is ever happy the first 24-48 hours after the final loss of a season or postseason, regardless of round. I can all but guarantee you those who are expressing anguish about the team would have done the same thing if they lost a game 6 of the finals against OKC.

Let's be real when it comes to happy or unhappy.  This team hasn't won a title in over 50 years.  They were absolutely miserable for 20 years.  These last few years have been better obviously but nobody is going to be thrilled getting beaten by Indiana two years in a row.

Dave...

Semantics about the Knicks?  Tweak? Tne goal is that title away for 52 years
I was there at the Garden as an 8 year old battling the Earl Monroe

Gus Johnson..Jack.Marin

Wes Unseld. And the crowd. Defense defense

Point is chemistry they had. Knowledge on defending. This team is a joke

How athletic do you think the Knick players are relative to the Pacers and other teams?

I think Mitch Robinson is very athletic for his size but I wonder about the others.
