Is there some secret message being sent with the quotation marks? lol

I personally think it doesn't hurt anything and is kinda cool to do. But let's be honest this is just so the Giants social media team has content and old fans like us get fired up to see an old player. These kids barely give a crap about the "legends".

The quotes are because I have a higher standard for being labeled a legend than Art does.  I am good with LT, Eli, and Strahan being called legends, but I don't think every good player who played for the NYG is a legend.

Totally agree.

And it's fine in an informal setting for our beat writers to refer to guys like Cross and Tuck as "legends" if they want to. But to call players like this "legends" in a serious context is an overuse of the word.
