That is a possibility, I was just sharing what all the NBA news twitter accounts were talking about.

For one, Robinson has not shown the ability to stay healthy for close to a season. And, when he came back this year, he seemed only to play for about 20 minutes getting fatigued about halfway after an effective start.  That said, Thibs did try what you talked about and it did work for as long as they could.

Given that, seems to me they should look for a rookie or young defense/rebounding 5 to rotate in to spell Robinson or replace when he goes down.  KAT may be tall like a center but I think he plays more like a 4.

This is what I think they should do.  Start Mitch & try to acquire a young defensive minded center that can play 20+ minutes per game.

I think the Knicks agreed with this and Phil's thinking.  When they lost Hartenstein, they went after young centers who played defense & protected the rim from Utah and Detroit but couldn't work out a deal.  I would love to ser them get Jackson from Memphis but I don't know how they could pull it off.

I think we're ignoring two young, developing players who are already on the roster (one of them having a real upside at C).

Hukporti and Dadiet. If we have a coach who will distribute minutes early and often, I see bright futures for both of these players.
From Simms to Eli (with an assist from Hoss) our Super Bowl Quarterbacks. Great defense and clutch QB performances...NY Giants Championship football.

I have an old profile still floating around: andrew_nyg....I am one and the same!
