Quote from: Jclayton92 on June 16, 2025, 03:03:59 PMThe structure is similar to yellowstone in that the show is revolved around a patriarch and his offspring. The show was phenomenal, even if in my opinion the finale was a little anticlimactic. They kept pushing the grandmother/grandson plot that I didn't care

Big spoiler here

Since Bronson was Eddie's father what does that make Mirren?

And there is no way they kill off Harry.

I compared this more to the Sopranos as they also were a dysfunctional family. In Yellowstone the family was acceptable and we rooted for them. Here the family is reprehensible and we hope they all end up dead.
Big difference from Yellowstone.
I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.

I finished FUBAR 2...pretty good for a few laughs and plenty of action
You can never actually lose a homing pigeon - if your homing pigeon does not return, what you've lost is a pigeon

I got through the 1st 3 episodes and while I still really enjoy the cast the mission/plot wasn't as catchy this time since everyone knows everyone is a spy.

I think they are trying to turn the show into a comedy. The pig stuff went off the rails...IMHO

We've just watched Titan: The Oceangate Submersible Disaster on Netflix.

It was interesting although not really offering anything new if you followed the coverage. That said, it's about 2 hours long and I wasn't bored so would say it's worth a look.

I saw this got dropped recently and I intend to get to it. The runtime makes it something I'm not likely to watch on a weeknight though.

I did watch "Echo Valley" recently with my wife, and we liked it. Feature film on Apple starring Julianne Moore and Sydney Sweeney. Thriller movie about woman with a daughter with major issues who gets herself into a pretty bad situation. Good tension and suspense throughout, and a couple of serious twists. Moore is on her game as usual.
