After Croatia we dropped anchor in Montenegro. What a beautiful Country. The port alone took our breath away

Another bus ride up with some more incredible views

The large white boat center right is our ship

Not sure how this will play out within this post, but here is a nice panorama shot from our lunch spot at the very top

Quote from: LennG on September 22, 2022, 07:43:25 PMI use a Canon Rebel TR-3 or something like that, and it takes wonderful pix. My problem and it was a huge one, we did an Artic Crossing, and we went out every night to try and see the Northern Lights. We were lucky enough to view them on 4 different occasions as the rest of the time the weather was just bad.
So I try and take a pix of the 'Lights' and I get nothing. I even went to the photo shop on the ship for some suggestions, camera settings. They told me what I already knew, I needed a tripod and need to keep the shutter open for at least 15 seconds, which was impossible. Yet, all these other people, who probably never took a pix in their lives, had iPods/IPads and they took amazing pics of the Lights, truly amazing. I couldn't believe how they just pointed up to the night sky and after a second or two, had pics of the Northern Lights. I see everything thru the lens of my camera, but the Northern Lights have to remain in my head.

I feel your pain, Lenn. The Nikon is "automatic" and has no manual settings so there's not real chance of letting the shutter stay open for any length of time to capture something as brilliant as that. It doesn't seem at all fair that non-photogs are getting the shots we can't! That's technology, I guess....

More Montenegro.
This is the mountain top restaurant where we had lunch and some of the views we enjoyed.

We will be off again, to New Hampshire for Fall colors (hopefully) in a few weeks, but going back on some pics from last year, let's get everyone in the mood for Fall. (If I posted any of these before, my apologies)

My company posted pics from our Franchise Conference from TN.

In this pic we rented the upstairs at one of the Broadway nightclubs (Ole Red).  The photographer took a pic of the see of blue below! While the lead singer of the band playing was up with us singing and joking and people below were looking up!

Look at all those Giants Fans in TN!!!!

We are getting ready to travel to New Hampshire next Friday for a week (hopefully) of dazzling fall colors. You just never know what to expect anymore though).

Still going thru some pics from my other trips and wanted to post a few more scenes from Autumn.

There is a very small town that we always drive thru because it just looks like what you might see in a movie or calendar of scenes from Autumn

And we always find time to sit and enjoy the beauty

It's been quite a while since I posted anything here. We HAVE been traveling but I have just been too lazy to get to my pics and see what is doing. In the next few weeks, I promise I will as we have some great pics from our Artic Cruise.

anyway, just going thru some other pics, I wanted to post a few of some that are a bit out of the ordinary.

Time for some photos!

We went down to Daytona this past weekend for the Rolex 24 Hour IMSA sports car race. We've been down there a number of times, but for various reasons, missed the past two years. They have a couple of support races and practice sessions Thursday and Friday, then the big event which begins early Saturday afternoon and runs through Sunday.

This was a big year for a number of reasons - there were 61 cars entered among 5 classes, the largest field in years, the crowd was the largest in the event's history, almost 50K, and the top class was new this year, the GTP class with cars featuring electric hybrid motors. BMW and Porsche both launched new entries in this class, joining Cadillac and Acura in the top class.

Wayne Taylor Racing Acura GTP car. WTR won the Rolex in 2017, 2019, 2020, and 2021, and finished second last year and again this year.

New Porsche GTP car, run by Penske Motorsports.

Another Penske Porsche passing a GTD-class Mercedes.

GTP Cadillac locks up the front tires late in the race.

Meyer Shank Racing Acura GTP, the overall race winner, for the second year in a row.
