The real question is if he knows enough to contribute in 2024 or if he is a year or 2 away.

He could be the find of the year if.....if.....they play him and don't continue with this Johnny one note thing at RB

From everything I have seen and read, I think he will be a contributor this season.

Sounds really good, I just always have to remember to temper my expectation for mental health reasons, lol

I liked what I saw of him on film. He's a hard worker and he learns quickly. I can see him contributing as a RB, in motion as a Receiver and on Special Teams. His diversification is another one of his assets, as is his toughness. He will get better in time and take advantage of his opportunities. Although not too similar, he could be an Amhad Bradshaw type pleasant surprise.

I am very intrigued by Tracy.

In the final couple rounds, I like players with warts more than players who don't appear to have any obvious warts. The reason I say that is because warts often explain why the player is still available. If you can identify the warts, accept them, and get comfortable with them, and you still see upside with the player, then you may be onto something. Players with no obvious warts who are still available in the 6th round, like a 22 year old starting linebacker from OSU who has never been injured, usually simply aren't very good. If they were, they would be long gone by then.

In the case of Tracy, his "wart" is that he doesn't have much experience at RB and yet is still quite old for a rookie, which will often scare people off, especially with a position like RB that ages out faster. With that said, he seems pretty talented and interesting. On top of having talent, he has a diverse skill set and can potentially do a number of different things for us both on the offense (in running and passing downs) and on special teams.

I am being careful not to get myself too excited about him at this stage, because after all, he is a 6th rounder, and at the end of the day, the reality is very few players picked this late turn into anything exciting. Hell, we have a hard enough time seeing day two guys turn into anything exciting. He is definitely on my watch list this season though. I'm much more intrigued by this guy than I was by our other recent later round RB picks (Gray and Brightwell).

And with this rag-tag RB room we presently have, he has more of an opportunity to make something happen as a rookie than he would on almost any other team.
